Who is your lord that he leads you back to the "church" of the *Dark* Ages when Christ is the _Light_ of the world?? Blasphemous titles claimed for the pope have been embellished and enlarged over the centuries. But a few of these boastful claims appear in an ecclesiastical (Roman Catholic) dictionary, by Lucius Ferraris, entitled _Prompta Bibliotheca Canonica,_ Vol. VI, pgs. 438, 442, article "Pope." _The Catholic Encyclopedia,_ 1913 edition, Vol. VI, p. 48, speaks of this book as "a veritable encyclopedia of religious knowledge," and "a precious mine of information." "The pope is of so great dignity and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God, and the vicar of God." "The pope is of such lofty and supreme dignity that, properly speaking, he has not been established in any rank of dignity, but rather has been placed upon the very summit of all ranks of dignities. . . ." "He is likewise the divine monarch and supreme emperor and king of kings." "Hence the pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of heaven and of earth and of the lower regions." "So that if it were possible that the angels might err in the faith, or might think contrary to the faith, they could be judged and excommunicated by the pope." "The pope is as it were God on earth, sole sovereign of the faithful of Christ, chief king of kings, having plenitude of power, to whom has been entrusted by the omnipotent God direction not only of the earthly but also of the heavenly kingdom." "The pope can modify divine law, since his power is not of man but of God." The above quotes are from _What's Behind The New World Order?_ Go to CatholicNewWorldOrder.com and click on the top link. ---------- "I am all in all and *above all,* so that God, Himself and I, the Vicar of God, have but one consistory, and I am able to do ALMOST ALL THAT GOD CAN DO . . . What therefore, can you make of me but God?" -Pope Nicholas, quoted in _Antichrist_ by Ian Paisley, pg. 54. The pope calls himself God, i.e., "Lord God the pope," "another God on earth." "We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty," Pope Leo XIII said in an _Encyclical Letter,_ June 20, 1894. "The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under veil of flesh," the _Catholic National_ said in July 1895. And every priest is an "Alter Christus," Another Christ. So every priest is Jesus. Plus, during the Mass the priest transubstantiates the bread into the literal, "real presence" of Christ. In other words, man creates God. "He is the creator of his Creator." _-The Dignity and Duties of the Priest_ by Liguori, Ch. 1, Part IV. How is any of this _not_ blasphemy?! Christianity teaches that the pope is the Antichrist. The proud pontiff's official title is Vicar of Christ, meaning "in the place of Christ." Vicar of Christ translated into Greek is Antichristos, in English Antichrist, also meaning "in the place of Christ." Vicar of Christ and Antichrist are the exact same word in two different languages. Vicar of Christ in Latin is Vicarius Filii Dei, meaning Vicar of the Son of God, or Vicar of Christ. VICARIVS FILII DEI. Add up the 11 Roman numerals and you get 666. Rev. 13:18. angelfire.com/on/3angels Revelation 13. 1 I . . . saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns . . . and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And _the _*_dragon (Satan)_*_ gave him (the beast) his power, and his seat,_ and great authority. 4 And _they worshipped the _*_dragon_*_ which gave power unto the beast:_ and they worshipped the beast . . . 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies . . . 6 And he opened his mouth in *blasphemy against God,* to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, *_Come out of her,_** my people,* that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." Rev. 18:4, 5.

Peace is found in Christ not in denonminations. Once a Protestant, most under that church title name based themselves on the Bible/God’s Holy Word to mankind. Me coming from the Catholic Church bc of my parents upbringing which God Blessed them now deceased, never force their religion on us children. But during the yrs attended mass with them & grew-up as an adult, I had face hard places in life & was searching for an answer to give me true peace, joy & love bc I came to a point of how can we escape from life’s troubles. I sought both medical mental health spiritual counseling of a priest that was in my parish at that time but as weeks & months gone by crying out to God to heal me physically & mentally desperately, God saw my need & sent people my way to tell me about the Good news of Jesus Christ that I’ve never heard before and it was all in His Bible 📖🔥✝️. As I studied the Bible I found peace which was right in front of me all that time in the Gospel at the Catholic Church saying I’m the Mass & traditions of the church but never really told the members of the Catholic Church that “Jesus was the only way to God the Father “ in the Bible. Just about the rosary, the Mass, and traditions of the Catholic Church that was idolatry per Bible commands. Then I realized as I was in deep studying of the Bible, we needed salvation & baptism through the Holy Ghosts & get born again in able to connect to God the Father through His only begotten Son. (Ref : John 14:6, Eph 4:14, Titus 1:10-11, Heb13:9) I found true peace, love & joy in the Holy Ghost through Jesus Christ, not through religious traditions whether it be Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostals, Lutherans, Jehovah-Witness, all denominations are misleading people away from the Truth of God’s Bible & teaching their own false doctrines the Bible calls it. So Sir, you really don’t have a true conversion from being a Protestant converted to Catholicism, it’s only in Jesus Christ & His true teaching anointed by the Holy Spirit & must be born again to see & connected to Heaven not in man’s traditions of God, it’s all a lie. I pray you go back & read the NT of the Gospels & Epistles for Gods Word about the Gospel & believers remaining in the faith & warning not to be strayed away from Christ ✝️ your walking in dangerous grounds with you & your family based on scriptures … 🙏🏼😔

I was a protestor for 50 years and the lies I was taught had me hating the CC until I started studying the reformation and was aghast at what I found out so I kept going back and back and back and read the early church fathers and everything I had searched for - the truth - was revealed - it was crystal clear. I’m now an on fire 🔥 Catholic and continue to be amazed at the banquet table the church offers us rather than one limited portion from the Baptist church. No longer jumping and seeking in the 49,999 protestor churches I’m settled content and at complete peace in the one true holy Catholic Church. JC prayed that they may be one. Now I can read and learn from the entire bible where always wondered why so many scriptures were always skipped when I knew they were teaching differently than the protestor church I was attending but that claimed they were scriptural based. Peace and love to all

The fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit does not come from simply having church association. There are multiple festivals every single day of the year. 21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu. 22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved. 23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu! 24) You know that Hinduism ☺ is a way of life, with considerable freedom. 25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe! 26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint. 27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily) You represent this! You're free to choose, my dear Hindu! This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!! There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell -" Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah"- Let the knowledge come to us from every direction

*Too bad. Just another deceived Christian turning to a Roman cult.* *Catholic Church contradicts Scriptures in every possible ways!* 1. Catholics say Mary was sinless. But BIBLE says Mary offered a sinner's offering. She was a sinner. Bible says Mary needed a Saviour. Lk 2:23-24, Lev 12:6-8, Rom 3:10. 2. Catholics say clergies must be celibate. Yet BIBLE says Peter (supposed R Church first leader) had mother in law. Bible says celibacy is not a qualification for clergies. Mat 8:14-15, Mar 1:30-31, Luk 4:38-39. 3. Catholics say Mary was forever virgin. Yet BIBLE says Jesus had brothers and sisters. Mary was not perpetually virgin. Mk 6:3, Mat 13:55, Mat 27:56, Mar 6:3, Mar 15:40, Mar 15:47. 4. Catholics say confess to R priests in a box. BIBLE says nothing about confessing to priests in a box. Bible says confess to GOD only. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6, Romans 10:9-10. 5. Catholics say drink of the literal blood of Jesus. Yet OT and NT both say do not drink blood. Acts 15, Lev 7:26. 6. Catholics say pray to passed on Mary and "saints". Yet BIBLE says do not contact the dead. NT Church did not record a single case of NT believers asking passed on saints to pray for them. Deut 18:11, Isaiah 8:19. 7. Catholics make and bow down to statues. BIBLE says do not bow down to graven images (statues). Deut 4, Exo 20:4-5. 8. Catholics sprinkles “holy water”. But NT Church of the Bible mentioned nothing about “holy water”. There was no record of any Apostles sprinkling “holy water” on believers. Catholics claimed “holy water” came from OT. Yet Num 5:17 says “holy water” was water used to test adulterous women in OT temple. Hardly the same. Those were for Old Covenant Jews. Not New Testament Christians. 9. Catholics say Peter was pope - bishop of all bishops. Yet BIBLE says Peter was just a leader of the Jerusalem Church. Bible says nothing of the office of bishop of bishops. Gal 2:9, Mat 16:18. 10. Catholics say there is a seat of Peter. Yet BIBLE says nothing about it. Jesus said “not to lord over others”. 11. Catholics has clergy priesthood. Bible says clergy priesthood was done away with in New Testament. There is no clergy priesthood in NT. Heb 7:27, 9:12, 10:10. 12. Catholics preaches Works Salvation (faith + good works + partake R sacraments + submit to R pontiff + be in R Church + devote to Mary = to be saved). Yet Bible says “believe in Jesus to be saved”. Bible says Works Salvation is cursed. Gal 1:8-9. Acts 16:30-31, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10. 13. Catholics says they must do Penance to atone for their sins. Yet Bible says repent, confess and sins will be forgiven. Catholic Bible changes the word “repentance” in NT into “penance”. Original Greek NT does not use or mean the word penance. Penance = work to atone for sins. Repentance = change of heart. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6. 14. Catholics say Mary went straight to heaven without dying. Yet Bible says nothing about it. 15. After several days of praying the Rosary, I noticed my thoughts of impurity slowly disappear. My addiction to pornography slowly went away and my thoughts of self harm also disappeared. I felt this overwhelming peace and I seek God and Jesus more. It's amazing because for the first time in my life, I feel loved.

@Sin's Fun Factory Baptism is required for salvation, and just as circumcision was performed on infants, so is baptism. Confirmation comes at a later point in the age of reason, similar to the bar mitzvah. Baptism is the fulfillment of circumcision, and there is no being washed in the blood of the lamb without receiving it per 1 John 5:7-8

  • @eddardgreybeard

    @eddardgreybeard

@Sin's Fun Factory Requirement is requirement. Confirmation comes later, just as someone who's baptized can later renounce God and lose their salvation. A baby that's baptized has the taint of original sin washed away, and if they should die before the age of reason they go to heaven. As Christ said in John 3:5, you must be born again of the water and of the spirit. Prior to the new covenant, babies were circumcised. They are baptized also.

My entire time being a catholic I never knew we were supposed to receive the HOLY SPIRIT, like it says in Romans 8-9 those that don't have the SPIRIT of GOD are not of HIS! Please pick up the Bible, GOD'S WORDS and read them, trust in them, learn the GOSPEL, the ONLY reason we are saved. May GOD please bless you and lead you to HIM.

I am so happy you at last know the truth! My non practicing protestant roommate converted to Catholic at 77 yrs of age! I was her sponsor! I prayed the Holy Rosary for three yrs! One day she says Pamela I want to be Catholic! Stating the Divine Mercy Chaplet pic in our home converted her heart! I was shocked when she said she wanted to become catholic hitting my ear is shock telling Jesus did I hear her right lol ;) The saddest thing to me here online is all the protestants hate the catholics! If you really love Jesus you will go for PEACE not strife especially from another believer! Nope they hate us catholics! There are many things that the Protestants lost by leaving the church which is bad for them! I am not a fan of change either lol so true Mark Twain! When the protestants rebelled making their own man made religion they lost more then they gained! Yes we "are saved" as Catholics! We already except Jesus as Lord in Our Savior in our faith! Being saved is the kick off the starting point there is so much more to a relationship with Jesus beyond "are you saved "are you saved" :) Saved by Divine Grace indeed! When you left the catholic church your learned from diluted truths! Water down faith is NOT good enough for me! I want the fullness the deeper truths! Welcome home sir! Come home protestants we love you and want you and all Gods children's home with the truth!

I was raised Protestant, in the Church of the Nazarene. I attended church until I was 16 and my parents divorced. My father was the one who made sure we attended church. Once he was out of the house I stopped going. I knew Protestants were divided by verses of theology, whether we were "once saved always saved,, or could we be saved and then lost." Whether we had free-will or had God already chosen or rejected you at birth (predestination). Little divisive arguments Catholics don't care about. I was an anti-Catholic bigot, I didn't hate Catholics as people, but the church was wrong and perhaps the anti-Christ. Catholics weren't allowed to read the Bible, they prayed to statues, they believed Mary was equal to God. I hade NEVER, EVER been into a Catholic Church BUT I KNEW everything about it. I met my wife, a Catholic Vietnamese refugee. I had no problem admitting she was a better Christian than I was, she attended Mass regularly and I had stepped foot into a Protestant maybe half a dozen times in two years. So when I was asked to agree to raise any future children as Catholics I had no problem agreeing to that. The very first time I stepped into a Catholic Church was our wedding rehearsal, the second was our wedding day. I don't remember much about it, I was nervous and distracted, but I do remember the feeling that God was there, that my wedding vows were a threesome: me, God, and my wife. Forty years later I still feel that way. We attended Mass with her parents two Christmas Midnight Masses in a row. And my first impression was, BIBLICAL. Three readings. The Sanctus, "Holy, Holy, Lord of Hosts" is reminiscent of Isiaih and the Book of Revelations. "Behold the Lamb of God, Behold him who takes away the sins of the world" - John the Baptist. The Eucharistic Prayers - reliving the Last Supper every Mass. EVERYTHING was literally or symbolically Biblical. My Protestant minister read one reading on Sundays and then he preached his thoughts about it. And then I was supposed to read the Bible and figure out what I thought it meant. That initial Midnight Mass was my first glimpse that I had no clue about Catholicism. They definitely knew something about the Bible. When we first married I told my wife all my criticisms of Catholics and Mary. Of course Mary wasn't ever-virgin. What kind of man would marry a woman and not have sex with her. I mean, THAT'S WHAT WIVES ARE FOR, right? Yeas, she was Jesus mother, but ANYONE could have been, right? A prostitute, a rock, God could have chosen anything or anyone for Jesus to be born from. And Mary wasn't God, why act like she is. Mother of God.... God existed before time. My wife heard this OVER and OVER. One day she had enough, and she asked me "Why do you hate Mary." And my first thought was, I don't HATE Mary. I just don't worship her. But I shut up and began thinking. It took me years to realize Catholics were right. But that question she asked began the process. I got stationed with the Army in Germany. We lived in a German village that first year, across from a Catholic Church. The next year we moved onto the military post, two blocks from the church. My kids were 3 and 4 years old, and we started attending Mass and sending them to CCD. I enjoyed the Mass, liked our priest, and we attended Mass faithfully together as a family. I found out I liked crucifixes. In a military church the building is used by multiple faiths for their services. Our building was Catholics and non-denominational Protestant. We Catholics had a crucifix at the front of the church. For Protestant service Jesus was turned around with his face to the wall, so what Protestants saw was an empty cross. That was when I discovered I like the images, first of Jesus, and later of the Saints and Mary. Images focused my thoughts and my prayers. One of my sisters had introduced my to my wife originally, but when I chose to marry her, my sister told me "Marry her but don't become Catholic." No one else told me that, but maybe 20 years after I became Catholic my father told me he'd never been so ashamed of me as the day I became Catholic. There was always that feeling that becoming Catholic would mean betraying my Protestant family, saying that THEY WERE WRONG, Catholicism was right. So there was always that barrier of loyalty to family standing between me and the Church. The funny thing is, I WAS STILL LOYAL to a Church of the Nazarene I hadn't attended in nearly 20 years. While my sisters were Baptist, Lutheran, two were non-denominational, and three didn't attend church at all. We moved to Ft. Lewis Washington, and I began attending Mass with my family and the Lutheran srevice while my wife and kids were involved with CCD. And honestly I wasn't impressed. It was completely different from the Church of the Nazarene which was more Baptis-like. Lutheranism felt like Cathlolic-lite. They had some of the rituals without the historical links and traditions of early Christianity. They gave up Catholicism over the Pope, but didn't give up enough to be non-Catholic. To me it just felt lacking. That year my kids began preparing for their 1st Communion. My daughter was happy, she got to be like Mommy. But my son said "No, I want to be like Daddy." And all I could think was, "I'm nothing." I'm not Protestant and no longer desire to be. I'm not Catholic, I love the church, but I can't take Communion because I'm not a member. I didn't want him to be me, I DIDN'T WANT ME TO BE ME. So I signed up for RCIA. The day I became Catholic was a great day. To have Communion again for the first time in 17 years. To be one with my wife and my children. To be SOMETHING again. Once I got over that hump, it took time, thought, and observation before I accepted everything about Catholicism. To be honest every issue I've had winds up in the Catholic favor. There has never been a situation where I've decided Catholicism is wrong. Not that Catholics have never been wrong, but the Church itself has been right.

@Sin's Fun Factory Sola scriptura is a concept pushed by Martin Luther 1,500 years after the Catholic Church was already in existence--"Bible alone" is actually not referenced in the Bible. 2 Thessalonians says "Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the *traditions* that you were taught, either by an *oral statement* or by a letter of ours."

@Sin's Fun FactoryIn the 2 Thessalonians verse, St. Paul is saying to hold fast to traditions, including *oral* tradition. Also, Jesus establishes His Church in Matthew 16:18-19.."And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Here we see that Jesus gives His Church a visible structure and actual hierarchy, and he gives St. Peter the authority to teach in His Name definitively, not optionally. In the early 100s AD, St. Ignatius of Antioch (who was discipled by St. John the Apostle) references this Church as "Catholic" in his epistle to the Smyrnaeans. Also, there is an unbroken line of Popes from St. Peter to the present-day Pope Francis. Ultimately, the Catholic Church traces back directly to Christ Himself, and was in existence for the first 1,500 years of Christianity. Protestantism and its teachings did not emerge until the 16th Century. I think we can agree that thousands of different denominations that all have conflicting beliefs is not unity! That is why Jesus established one Church that has the authority to teach definitively. I think the deeper one digs into the history of the early Church, the more evident it is that this Church is the Catholic Church. A great video if interested to look into is "8 reasons why I became Catholic and not just Christian" by Catholic Jake on here. I thought it was very insightful, even as a Catholic.

@Sin's Fun Factory Where is the holy bible in the bible? Where is sola scriptura in the bible? Where does it say in the bible that everything must be in the bible? The last time I checked the Holy Bible is a declared Canon of the Catholic Church in the 4th century - Sacred Tradition, not the bible, now why would we follow your false personal opinion? Did Jesus handed out king james bibles? 2ND In Mary's Magnificat found in LUKE 1:46-55 she states that "ALL GENERATIONS SHALL CALL ME BLESSED", that is why she is Holy and a Saint. Now why can't demonic protestant doctrine call The Mother of the Lord God Saint or Blessed/Holy? What is your problem? The Rosary is a meditative prayer about Jesus' life in the eyes of his mother Mary. That is why we answer from scriptures itself: LUKE 1:42-45 41 And it came to pass, that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she cried out with a loud voice, and said: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For behold as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.45 And blessed art thou that hast believed, because those things shall be accomplished that were spoken to thee by the Lord. 3RD Intercessory prayers are instructed by St. Paul in 1 TIMOTHY 2:1. What does EPHESIANS 6:18 says? MAKING SUPPLICATION FOR ALL THE SAINTS ! Mary is not just a saint, she is the Ark of the New Covenant, The NT Gebirah, Daughter of Zion and the woman of revelation that is why we pray for her protection and intercession. SUPPLICATION (DEFINITION) - The action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly. EPHESIANS 6:18 Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, LUKE 1:28 HAIL FULL OF GRACE ROMANS 16:6 Salute Mary, who hath laboured much among you. Saints and angels in heaven interceding for us in REVELATION 4, 5, 6, 8. "Mediator" is Christ alone in one sense. As intercessors all members are " mediators". according to Catholicism and Scripture: 1 - The Church is the body of Christ 2 - There is only one body of Christ, not one on earth and another one in heaven. 3 - Death does not separate the members of the body. 4 - Christians are bound by the Law of Christ to love and pray for one another. 4TH MARY THE QUEEN MOTHER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH Mary is Queen Mother/ NT Gebirah and that is by Tradition and the Royal Davidic Line. God chose to have a mother in the bubble of space and time (earth). Mary is queen mother because Jesus is a Davidic king. (Luke 1:32) In the Davidic line of kings, the mother of the king was the Queen. (1 Kings 2:19, Jer 13:18) Since Jesus is our King in the Kingdom of Heaven, His mother Mary is the Queen. The role of the Queen Mother (the Gebirah in Hebrew) is one of intercession (1 Kings 2:17) Mary is not just The Queen Mother / NT Gebirah and a saint, she is also the Ark of the New Covenant and the woman of revelation that is why we pray for her protection and intercession just like the old covenant i-s-ra-elites praying to the ark for protection against their enemies. HAIL FULL OF GRACE is a a salutation by Angel Gabriel to Mary in LUKE 1:28. "Blessed are you among women" was a greeting from Elizabeth in LUKE 1:42-43. Mary is queen because Jesus is the Son of David, all mothers of the kings of i-s-ra-el were called "queen mothers". The queenship in heaven is in PSALM 45:9 SIRACH 24. Mary is the queen crowned with 12 stars seen by John in Revelation 12. 5TH THE FALSE QUEEN - KING (QUEEN) JAMES King James is a degenerate closet queen who had an affair with his relative King James VI, he is named after the protestant defacto bible.

I totally agree with the struggle at 23:05. When I was seeking Jesus, I didn’t know whether to be Protestant or return to Catholicism. So the Virgin Mary was also very difficult for me to understand and give devotion to. What helped me most was watching the film “Fatima,” the most recent version and the 1952 version. Catholic movies have really helped me understand the importance of saints and of the Virgin Mary. Also reading Luke 1: 26-56 strengthened my devotion to Mary, as well as praying the rosary.

But doesn't Mary admit to being a sinner in Luke 1:47, where she rejoices in _her_ Saviour? Only a sinner needs one of those. (You're not saved from being immaculate.) And in Luke 2:21-24 she makes a sin offering of two turtle doves thereby acknowledging that she's a sinner. The wages of sin is death. Mary died, as divine justice declares all sinners must do. And "the dead _know not _*_anything,_* neither have they any more _a portion forever_ in *_anything_* that is done under the sun." Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10. Psalm 146:4; 115:17, Ezekiel 18:4. Genesis 3:4. So why do you pray/talk to her, asking her for help when she's dead and has no knowledge or influence in the goings-on of _anything_ on earth?? And why do you follow, or trust in, a "church" that would teach otherwise?

Floogelhornzzz St. Paul asked the saints to pray for him: Rom 15:30; Col 4:3; 1 Thess 5:25; Eph 6:18-19; 2 Thess 3:1. Certainly we too can ask the saints to pray for us. Christ is the vine and we are the branches, both the living and the dead in Christ are connected to each other (see Jn 15:1-5). The saints are not dead, but alive in heaven. Further, they see God face to face. Is it not wonderful that they can pray to God for us and with us? What Christian would deny others from praying on his behalf? None, of course. We all ask others to pray for us. Why is it considered “unbiblical” when Catholics ask their Christian brothers and sisters in heaven to pray for them? The saints are alive in heaven: “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living” (Mk 12:26-27). The angels and saints place the prayers of the holy ones at God’s feet (Tob 12:12; Rev 5:8; 8:3-4). Christians are bound in a community of mutual love (Rom 12:10; 1 Thess 5:11; Gal 6:2). The tradition of praying to the saints dates to the very first Christians. As one example among many, Origen (185-254 A.D.), wrote: “But not the high priest [Christ] alone prays for those who pray sincerely, but also the angels . . . as also the souls of the saints who have already fallen asleep” (Prayer 11 [A.D. 233]). Most Protestants recite the Apostles’ Creed, in which we state, “I believe in . . . the communion of saints.” Yet, unfortunately, most of our Protestant brethren do not know that “communion of saints” means simply that committed followers of Christ exist as a community of believers, both the living on earth and the living in heaven. Catholics understand this bond of unity as the Mystical Body of Christ.

This is so awesome! It is hard to find words without the tears....tears of joy for you and tears of sadness for my family and friends who are away from God. I am a life long Catholic, cradle Catholic, if you will, and I am 56. About 10 years ago, I began to study and truly learn about my Catholic Faith because I felt like I wasn't cathechised very well due to changes happening in the church in the 1970s. That is a long story that I won't fully get into here, but it is very important. Certain priests and bishops made some changes that tore away at our history and historical practices and many Catholics did not take to kindly to that, after Vatican ll council. Many things were implemented that Vatican ll never called for. It almost appears that the true Catholic teaching was "dumbed down" to make it seem more interesting for protestant converts, when in the doing of this, Catholic children became lost in the system and we were not taught our faith. We learned basic theology and all about the Mass, but we were not taught the "why" of it all. This is the reason most Catholics left the Church and said they were not being "fed". What happened to me is that I stumbled upon a video by Scott Hahn and my life changed. I found the Catholic apologists who were able to show me the "why", and now my life is filled with such joy. Because I have an A.D.D. brain, it is hard for me to reiterate some things after I have learned them, so I started to take notes when I listen to their talks. I try my best to tell my friends and family what I have learned. The apologists I am talking about are Scott Hahn, Tim Staples, Tim Gray, John Bergsma, Patrick Madrid, Trent Horne, Jimmy Akin, Brant Pitre, Edward Sri, Steve Ray, and many others. I will leave you with this, listen to the talk by Steve Ray, called, Peter, the Rock, the Keys, and the Chair. Then, the talk by Brant Pitre called The Jewish Roots of the Papacy. These talks are life changing. They deal with the authority given to the apostles, but primarily to Peter. Once you accept that, then everything else falls into place. God bless you and your family! Please pray for me, Renée in Virginia. Mother Mary pray for us.

By not being fed, Catholics didn't know how to defend the faith when approached by non Catholics and were then invited to protestant churches with big band music, better get togethers with better food, fellowship like no other, and all sorts of things that were so very welcoming. Catholics are only now trying to get back into the groove of doing those things to nurture our families and teach our Children. It is said that all teaching starts in the home, with the parents. Well, if I wasn't properly taught, how can I teach my children? I want to tell all of these apologists that they need to implement apologetic education for our children. I am begging for this. So, when our children are in highschool and college, they will not be "stolen away" from us and from Jesus. All those questions that protestants ask......why do you worship Mary? Call no man father, infant baptism, Bible alone, Faith alone, works will not save you, etc. Our children need to know how to answer those questions. Every elementary catechism absolutely has to teach this.... Mother Mary help us!

*R Catholicism has nothing to do with God and His Words. R Catholic Church contradicts Scriptures in every possible ways!* 1. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6, Romans 10:9-10. 5. Catholics say drink of the physical blood of Jesus. 15. Catholics say Islam and Christianity have the same GOD. Yet Islam doesn't believe in death and resurrection of Jesus and Trinity.

I’m sitting here as a Catholic in a place where I am really flexing what it means to believe in Christ and trying to reconcile Protestant ideology with my own and seriously consider the perspectives. One of the biggest areas of contention is Mary, hearing his story literally brought tears to my eyes as I’m sitting at a car dealership listening to this. But what got me is that Mary is our Mother just as she was Jesus’s mother. That she gazed in to her new child’s eyes the way that mothers do in extreme intimacy with their child; but that child was her savior and the word made flesh. What an endowment above any other human creation to have this fullness of Grace. So beautiful.

Thank God he came home to the fullness of truth! I lived 26 years of my adult life as a Protestant arguing against the Catholic Church. I began to see more and more how much Protestant denominations or “non-denominations” differed from each other in beliefs. They all have conflicting and contradictory doctrines from one another. Yet, they all claim to go by the bible alone and say they’re lead by the Holy Spirit. But at the end of the day they disagree with other Protestants on doctrine, the teachings of Christ. The Holy Spirit doesn’t lead the Church to contradictory doctrines. It’s a different spirit that does that. They disagree on what the Bible says...what Jesus says. They disagree in matters regarding salvation itself (how we get it, can we choose it?, can we lose it?, and all kinds of things...endlessly). Christ did not establish a church with conflicting and contradictory doctrines within itself. Yet that’s what we have in Protestantism. There is no one within Protestantism who can say “thus saith the Lord”. At least not anyone that other Protestants feel obligated to believe. When one disagrees, they just start a new church, or find one that fits what they want to hear. And on and on it goes. So we’re left with thousands of conflicting and contradictory Protestant churches. Like you wouldn’t say, “the Protestant church”, because it's actually thousands of separate churches, all teaching contradictory things from one another. This is absolutely undeniable. Doctrinal relativism is not an option in Christ's One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We do not agree to disagree on Doctrine. That would be unbiblical. Truth matters. Peace.

I agree with Jeremy for a mid week invitation to bring a friend to a church gathering. What would also be helpful to have on a Wed. evening is Eucharistic adoration. When you have a friend sit silently in front of Jesus in adoration, our Lord will touch peoples hearts in a supernatural heart to heart way. I often think that if all of our protestant brothers and sisters really knew the truth and understanding of our Eucharistic Lord, they would be coming back to the Catholic faith in large numbers. The Mass is a heavenly experience here on earth. I'm so grateful to Jesus our Lord and savior for giving us this beautiful Eucharistic gift of himself through our priests. God bless. Thank you for this wonderful interview Chris with Jeremy. God bless you both.

I used to run a print Christian ad agency, LPI of St. Louis, and have been in hundreds of Christian churches around the US. Never did I get the sense of the divine in a protestant church, because Jesus Christ isn't there. Walk into a Catholic church during Eucharistic adoration and the real presence of Jesus Christ is there.

Welcome back home Jeremy!! Your testimony on your journey back was encouraging. Hopefully it is to others who have left home and others who are also seeking to fill that void in their soul Who is our Lord Jesus in the Holy Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. It is delightful that you're catching up on the truths and teachings of our Lord's beautiful Church that those leaders in His Church have failed to fully teach in at least the passed 60 to 65 years! I see how this began from whence Pope Paul Vl stated "Smoke has entered the Vatican". I know much evil was then infiltrated via false seminarians and we are where we are because of it amongst other reasons. You are learning well:). I would like to add a few other things to your knowledge. First you have always been Catholic, you were baptized Catholic, you can't erase that. You were practicing protestantism. You say "we all have same Bible", but we don't because Fr .Martin Luther took out 7 Books from our Bible to make his own King James Bible so for the most part it's not the same. You also mentioned that you went to a Sunday service, so I assume you weren't talking about the Mass because the Mass is not a service, it IS the Holy Sacrifice offered on the altar. It is Our Lord's Crucifixion and Death where we are actually present at Calvary. At the same time, heaven is also celebrating the true worship and Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!:). Mass is never a service. I do like your dream of communing in a warm charitable atmosphere with fallen away Catholics, Protestants and others to lovingly evangelize in charitable setting, but certainly not at the Sacrifice of the Mass. I hope this dream comes true, after all, Missa means Mass and also means to be sent out to evangelize, which sadly many Catholics have not always been instructed as to how, as protestants have. Lastly, I find it disturbing that Archbishop Chaput had you meet him at Starbucks, as I have learned that it supports the killing of babies thru abortion! I personally will not give my money or support those atrocities!! Maybe that's a way of him sticking it to the evil one by bringing a sheep back to the fold🥴. Hopefully AB Chaput didn't know that's what they do. Blessings Jeremy and remember the 5 First Saturdays of the month that our Lord wants prayers of reparation for His Mother to be done because of all the offenses hurled at His Mother by so many. I often wonder if all the many fallen away Catholics and there are MANY, (as you say half if not more) that come back home, and protestants that have converted, ever think to make it a mission to our Lord in thanksgiving and salvation of souls, to go back to those they once either convinced to come out of the Catholic Church, or pulled them into a protestant denomination and deterred them from believing anything Catholic can now go back and testify to have found the Fullness of Truth and bring them to or back to Our Lord in the Eucharist and His Sacraments? Time is getting short! I'm elated that you have come home Jeremy!! I'm sure you are an asset to Our Lord and will do great things for Him. Praise be to God!!! Jesus, Mary and Joseph save souls🙏

*R Catholicism has nothing to do with God and His Words. R Catholic Church contradicts Scriptures in every possible ways!* 1. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6, Romans 10:9-10. 5. Catholics say drink of the physical blood of Jesus. 15. Catholics say Islam and Christianity have the same GOD. Yet Islam doesn't believe in death and resurrection of Jesus and Trinity.

The Canadian issue where Pope Francis apologized focused on an event in a place which was not proven nor has any evidence but rather based itself on perception, and a very ugly perception of the Catholic faith. His apology only perpetuated that false idea of the Church as coercive and evil, and how can that be when the Church is Jesus Himself. The reason this issue came up was that a radio wave analysis of the ground showed that the soil was disturbed. This could have been caused by any number of reasons. The fact it was behind an old church residence school lead them to believe the worst. That the anomalies in the soil were Graves of children. To this day there has been no excavation or bodies. Now we do know this. That these children at the schools were poor indigenous children that were taught and fed by at the expense of the Catholic faithful. It may not have been lavish but it was better than the environment they came from which was rough. Many of the parents of these children wanted their children to go to the schools to hopefully achieve a better life. When children did pass during this time because in the time and context disease and death were more prevalent due to a lack of advancement in medicine, the Church would bury the children. The Graves would be marked with a wooden cross because there was not enough finances to pay for expensive tomb stones. So over time those crosses would decay and fall to ruin. Now was there abuses, maybe and there are some documented stories of such. And this is indicative of people not of the Church. For those things we should apologize and have empathy and remorse. For that which is sensational we should reject and the issue of the Graves was sensational and unproven.

From what I read years ago government paid institutions of deaf/blind, retarded, mentally ill, orphaned and indigenous children, juvenile delinquents and unwed mothers run by religious denominations in the UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ, Canada, northern USA - many abuses were occurring in them. We've learned enough about child abuse and elder abuse that sadists, pedophiles and mentally disordered people are attracted to employment and work settings where victims can't speak out. It's a given that abuse went on.

You said it yourself "its like a protestant service" , we shouldn't be looking for the Peotestant experience. Not in any way. Check out Fr. Chad Ripperger (exorcist) who says that its not our authority to lay hands on others because demons will be transfered that way. Demons know we dont have that authority. The Charismatic movement came out of Protestantism and it has many theological errors.

Hey guys first time on the podcast. I was really surprised to hear how close to home this was. I knew a few people that went to pathways around 2000, I myself used to frequent Chaputs 6pm mass at the cathedral, until his departure to Philadelphia. A wiser person I have not met. I would take my protestant fiance to the mass as well, after 14 years of marriage she just completed RCIA this Easter, I believe his homilies played a huge role in her conversion. Keep up the good work!
