Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue is the first one-part, water cleanup wood glue ever offered that is proven waterproof. The waterproof formula passes the ANSI/HPVA Type I water-resistance specification and offers superior bond strength, longer open assembly time and lower application temperature.
Titebond III is non-toxic, solvent free and cleans up with water - safer to use than traditional waterproof wood glues. It provides strong initial tack, sands easily without softening and is FDA approved for indirect food contact (cutting boards). Thanks Greg - I cut some bowl blanks just a day or two ago and picked one up today and saw it was already checking - didnt have time to order any end grain sealer so I went ahead and tried the titebond III. Glad to see that someone has already had some success with it!

Just viewed your pod cast using titebond III to seal end grain. Great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge from using the product. Your shop is crazy organized and I love how many hand tools you have acquired and use in your shop. Now let me view more pod casts mate!!!

So I was planning on building soft wood log shed would Titebond 3 be good for sealing the end cut as I’ll be leaving the logs where I drop them for awhile or would I be better off getting something else for my needs

I'm using regular PVA. 1 coat slightly watered down. 2nd coat full strength while the 1st is still a little tacky. Good luck me.

being new to wood working... what is the value of still wet aka green wood? it will invite insects and eventually warp...

Green wood is very easy to carve. Dry wood is quite hard and is not that pleasurable to carve. If you take green wood and seal it and keep it in a dry area insects should not be a problem. As far as warping - sealing the ends will minimize warping but you'll typically flatten and square the wood after it is dry. If you're wanting to save some wood for carving Gregs demonstration will keep your wood in good shape. If you're looking to make boards id recommend milling it green with some left over sized by a quarter or so - seal the ends and let it dry. Once it is dry you can mill the inevitable warp / twist.

@@AnubhavShah Yes that is precisely what I mean. You can do it with hand planes too if you cant get a jointer / planer. Lots of youtube vids out there on the subject.
