Take off the Tip section and turn the tip 180 degrees around so the painted end goes downwards to reel end then fix it with a rodband around the rod.

Have we forgotten what rod tubes are for you've only got to cut them up to the feel and the butt section ,end caps and all !!. Job done.

Good point 👍 I always make sure there's nothing sticking out either end, I must be physic as I didn't even think about it bending them I was more concerned about the tip snapping 🤐😱

Nice video. I agree with you but I now just not use the elasticated ones and just use the ngt protectors and make sure the tip is either level or just below the first section of rod and then but a small thin elastic band at the tip and it's stopped it slightly moving up past the main part of your rod and haven't had any problems since.

You can as already pointed out remove the quiver tip and lay it down the rod blank but my pellet waggler rod tip section is slightly longer than the butt so the elasticated ones are no good for me. l bought a couple and saw they weren't right l had opened the packaging so couldn't take them back so l cut the elastic off.

😶I just use a padded rod holdall... I have a nice set of Greys Twin Tips & shimano reels left on them ... I can be fishing within minutes of landing on the bank... I hate fluting around with setting up...I even keep me Fox pod assembled and the delks on it ...perks of owning a van, just pile it all in there and.... just let me at 'em !!! 😂

Even Alan. I've just replied to another video from (Prestons and Des Shipp...NO WAY whatsoever am I having a go at Preston or especially DS!!...NO WAY! ) regarding these rod protectors...what I use is copper lagging in different measurements, the stuff that plumbers use couple of quid for 6 feet or metres if you want to talk foreign Get a couple of different widths and it's top bollocks.....I know this is 2 years old, but so was the same comment I made at Prestons.

For 2 section rods have a look at a recent video Lee Kerry published on facebook. Lee breaks the rod down and folds it in half basically so the tip of the rod is at the butt end.........fb.watch/v/1PThQFXMZ/
