Currently using another brand, but will be getting some from "Land of the Feeder" soon. One problem with these rod bands is you end up with a load of empty rod bags / sleeves. I just tie them onto a coat hanger and suspend it from the garage ceiling, out of the way.

Great idea as long as the tip section is the same or shorter length than the butt section otherwise there is pressure on the thinnest part of the rod

There's only minimal but once the 2 rod pieces are together you can just turn your spool to take up any excess and then the rig goes inside the tip protecter sleeve. Does that make sense mate?

Just remove the tip and fold it back against the rod (with it pointing towards the butt section) before you fit the tip sleeve. The X-stretch rod bands can be adjusted to fit rod as required.....just at the "in-between" length. I also find it useful to stretch the band over the reel handle too, with a loop. thus adding a little extra security if I forget to flick on the anti-reverse / do up the drag.

They come out in a tangle, every time, like your Christmas tree lights! Ready rod bags and leaving your rods set up were introduced 20 year's ago to cater for shorter 11 and 12 foot commercial rods. If I left my 13ft, 14ft or 15fts set up all the time, it would be a nightmare and I would have to tackle up again anyway. It doesn't take long to put a rod together, reel on, run line through, thread a stick on, hook length on, shots on, maggot on.......
