does the outer diameter of the shell change for different sizes of the EPS? You said the basic is all the same shell, but what about the EPS?

I just got the pro tec classic skate helmet, that's not cpsc certified. Would it still protect my head if im just riding for commuting/transportation?

I just got my helment and its super cool i would have ordered a skateboard but i have to save some money well im getting the skateboard that you guys just made the video of in black and white next THANKS GUYS ;)

How is the protec full cut skate helmet? Does it offer more protection because im trying find one on your site for bombing hills.

I would assume so, due to the fact that it covers your head and ears more.

The classic is actually better for minor falls, because the softer foam causes a gentle deceleration. The eps is nonsense for skateboarding. It's for high speed stuff like dirt jumping and bmx. I'm talking mega ramp size impacts. Dirt bikes etc.

I agree with you. I own both a certified helmet and a "skate" helmet. I skate the full cut helmets though, I don't know if that makes a difference. The "skate" helmet fits a lot better. Nice and snug. The certified helmet moves around a lot. I've fallen in both and definitely prefer the "skate" helmet. What good is a helmet that's gonna fall off?

It completely depends on the fall, but the EPS version does provide more protection for ya noggin!

The EPS helmet will provide better all-around protection, but might not be as comfy to wear.

i don't have a problem with the eps helmet its just the polystyrene foam which i think makes it look cheap and less comfortable to wear because theres hardly any padding.

@@Zazooma7 I think when he said "you" add thicker liners to change the size of the helmet, he meant the manufacturer.

so anoting, the UK standards now only allow the classic helmet with hard polysyrene, sooo uncomfortable :/

My protec foam is some cheap sticky velcro. Lol

So odd, the eps looks uncomfortable and just plain awful. I can see if you were riding a motor bike where a heavier foam would be necessary, but that is where you buy a real motoring helmet. The classic looks really comfortable and looks as it will hold sweat. The eps looks like the foam you can get off the bicycles you buy at Walmart that come with a free helmet lol
