With multiple people claiming to be the victim of a memoir, detectives are lead astray. The investigation turns into a who's who of murderers and victims.
Season 19, Episode 6 'Sweetie': Detectives Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard's (Anthony Anderson) search for the murderer of 'Sweetie' Ness, a popular memoirist, leads them to Lauren Claiborne (Taylor Gildersleeve), part of the entourage at the club where 'Sweetie Ness' was last seen alive. Janice Dunlap (Guest Star Heather Matarazzo), a stalker who had sent 'Sweetie' poems and had followed him that night, and Kate Tenny (Guest Star Vivica Fox), 'Sweetie's' agent, who has her own motives.

They never feel bad about convicting the wrong person. Accurate reflection of the US justice system

Vivica’s character had noble intentions on letting the world know about child prostitution but having someone play the role of a “real victim” and then a posier gets killed for being “insert name here”. Afterwards she claims all the money from the fact she manipulated others to pretend to be this person and the benefits from it.

@@Cor6196There have always been morally compromised people in all walks of life. The TV show that catches child predators had a problem with the sister of one of the predators filmed and caught. He was an assistant district attorney. He deleted himself because he was on film solicited a child.

Well, Rubirosa has uncovered evidence that Kate Tenney is the real killer, so it's possible the story didn't end there. Like Billy the pedophile's story. Although it would have been nice to see a second part of both.

They must have really changed the predictability of the show after Jesse L Martin left, because I would have bet my life that at 3:37, the perp would have walked into his motel room, saw the cops, and fled (whereby Det. Green chases him down, and Lenny catches up to deliver a one-liner. Alas, I guess all things change over eons of time. The Rocky Mountains, the Pyramids of Gaza…. Even Law & Order scripting formats.
