Spartanburg has an expanding network of walking/ biking trails one of which was recently expanded through the downtown area with the first curb protected bike lanes in the state. Spartanburg was was the first city in SC to be named a bicycle friendly city by the American Bicyclist Association. The yellow plaque behind you at 8:14 is part of the Spartanburg Music Trail, plaques placed throughout the downtown area honoring notable musicians from Spartanburg. Spartanburg’s downtown is anticipated to receive an economic boost within the next few years with the construction of a baseball stadium and mixed use development. This will be the largest such project in the city’s history.

This video is amazing. We are interested in moving from Atlanta. Could you do a video about Spartanburt and some of the best public and charter schools, and also Christian schools and maybe show their locations. And also I am interested in seeing some homes in golf communities, what do they look like, also some homes with land. Thanks, Mary

how far is that from spartanburg? we are considering staying in the greenville area...looked at compobello but its to far from greenville. havent been to spartanburg at my last visit. would like to stay open minded😊

A few things you probably didn’t know about Spartanburg. It has one of the oldest law firms in the US, est 1825, it has what some believe is one of the largest cemetery monuments in the US, the Wonder of Life monument, it is where the first college football game in SC was played, the words of the song Amazing Grace were set to music, the British band Pink Floyd got the Pink part of their name from a Spartanburg musician, Martin Luther King’s uncle was once pastor of a church in Spartanburg . The inventor of the pc modem was a native of Spartanburg. Fowler Brothers cleaners of Spartanburg has been the official cleaners of the Carolina Panthers uniforms.

I'm sure there are. I have a friend that does geriatric care in home, long term. She's considering starting a business, but I don't think she's there yet.
