What is the location in the thumbnail?

Spring Branch is where I am looking for property to build a home. Love that its outside of SA, however close enough to drive down and back to the peace and quiet!

Mike, thanks so much for covering Bulverde /Spring Branch, I thought it was too far out for you! Little did I know we'll be "neighbors" soon as we are buying a new construction home in the Johnson Ranch area. We love our future neighborhood and neighbors, the commute to San Antonio is not bad at all going down 281, and the area is bound to grow in terms of restaurants and shopping in the coming years given the construction and growth. Price is a bit steep in our neighborhood but we're getting in at a lower price than it'll be just months from now, and certainly years later. Please consider doing another video on Bulverde /Spring Branch next year or in the future!

I'm looking in that area there. Could you please recommend some neighborhoods? People are sending me up the 281. But I love the Johnson Ranch area.

@@luperamos7307 they're still building quite a few homes in the "Hidden Trails" neighborhood. The two builders are lennar Holmes and Scott Felder homes. They are located off of 281N @ Mustang Vista. There is also Johnson Ranch itself. They have a nice custom builder named Whitestone homes in Perry homes builds there as well.

I'm looking in San Antonio. First they sent me to Stone Oak bc of school districts, but it's a little pricey for me. Could you maybe give me some advice where I could look around Bulverde or north of San Antonio to get good value and good schools?

Could you do a video about Kerrville. It seems like another nice interesting small city that has a little more than what you need to live in.

This was so helpful. We are planning a move out to the hill country and spring branch seems to have a decent inventory of newer homes that are affordable with some privacy. My heart is still set on being in the Boerne ISD but unfortunately the prices are so high and the lot sizes are a bit too small…hoping to find the happy medium somehow.

Where do you think Bulverde is headed? Many people say to look north in San Antonio for homes. Stone Oak is too expensive though, so that might take you further up north.

Thank you so much. We are considering relocating there, been briefly in New Braunfels/San Marcos area but hadn't made it out ya'lls way. Beautiful. We would be moving from Central Coast of California (don't shoot me with one of your legally possessed AR-15s, my family is originally from just up 281 a bit in Hamilton so I am coming BACK home to Texas) The scenery is so similar to San Luis Obispo County, CA. Looks like the perfect location, thanks for the honest pros and cons. And the proper local pronunciation of New Braunfels. We will look you up when we go home shopping. BTW we have scorpions, rattlesnakes, tarantulas and annoying pest deer here too.

My wife and I moved to Bulverde from Ventura county last year. Haven't regretted it one bit. I said the exact same thing comparing it to San Luis Obispo, but the People, Cost of living and Gas are great as well. Plenty to do if your into the outdoors and San Antonio is 15 minutes away if your a City feller. I have stopped telling people about CA unless they ask. I tell them we are from the West and did not come here to change a thing. We chose to live with like minded people. That's usually enough for them.

We don’t want major development centers because that is why people move out of the city.

Definitely not saying they're a great thing for making these small towns more congested but the more people move out here, the more of a need these developments become unfortunately.
