You never seek the office, the office He bestows will find you. Oftentimes, most will try to resist or even run from these things. He will bring you into a lengthy time of teaching and testing. Building up and into you a maturation of the Holy Spirit that you will need.

So true. Thank you. There are no classes or lectures you can attend to learn how to prophesy. Either God talks to you and reveals things to you or he doesn't. The prophets of old didn't ask to be prophets. God chose them. Whenever someone says that one can be taught to prophesy and that at first you might get it wrong, it grieves my soul. So many are led astray and are either listening to themselves or to demons.

This was excellent and informative teaching. Thank you fresh oil for me.

It took me a while to see what was going on in a past ""prophetic"" ministry, but thank God He led me out of something like you described. The TRUTH is extremely valuable.

The Apostle Paul, like Christ was able to say, follow my example. Prophets, those who earnestly seek a word from the Lord have an Urgent Message but seem to be are a bit fickle at times, like Jonah who displayed a self righteous pompous attitude. God uses Broken Vessels who realize "How desperately we need him".

I know all things are possible through Jesus.I believe and follow Christ! I know that’s why Im being spiritually attack by the devil. I’m a single mother with two autistic children. My husband died years ago. I feel so alone. I have no family nor friends to lean on. I’m so overwhelmed since covid I can’t seem to get back on my feet. I lost my job at Forsyth hospital for declining the vaccine. I only declined due to my health conditions. I suffer from lupus, and heart disease. I’m now waitressing and so thankful but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. I started homeschooling my children because they were having so many issues in school including bullying. Now especially that I’m homeschooling my hours to work are limited. God hear my prayers. Every month is a struggle to not end up on the streets with my boys. I feel like a failure. I’m so ashamed of not being able to provide for my children. It’s so discouraging. But I keep faith. I know God willl provide in Jesus name. Thank you Jesus.

​@@mrshmanckles1463Malachi is Old Testament, we are under the New Testament/Covenant. Reccomend reading the book of Acts for an understanding of the church of today. Follow with Corinthians, 1 & 2. When you are driving, doing chores, etc, listen to it being read . Alexander Scourby is an excellent reader if the KJV, and is on KZread.

The word “some” is not in the Greek in Ephesians 4,11. That would be “tis” (G5100) not “mén” (G3303). “Mén” is used many times in lists and should not be translated, or maybe like this: “the one … but the other …” in a “mén … de” comparative structure. Here “mén” is only once at the beginning of a “mén … de … de …” list. Derek has many-many good teachings, even in this he has a lot of good points, but he failed to recognize that the system he followed was created by a Diotrephes called Ignatius from Antioch. That is why he believed in the five fold ministry instead of the four fold ministry. Had he come out of the camp of institutionalized Christianity he could be unbiased and study Ephesians 4,11-16 thoroughly. He'd then have realized in the Greek that shepherd-teacher is one function not two: while the other ministies are differentiated by “de” in the list, shepherd and teacher are connected with “kai”; and thus shepherding is also not a local function but a personal function amongst the family of God who also teach. But altogether Derek was proper in many things, sadly entrapped in the false church system deception many modern day true prophets already called out that the “church service” is not biblical. A teacher or a prophet still can be entrapped in Herodes' service or Nimrod's service like Derek was.

I notice, in the second part of this message, Derek Prince does not state that, because Philip is seen ministering alone as an evangelist, it is unscriptural for evangelists to work in teams. That would be dogma. Yet he states that it is unscriptural for prophets to operate alone. That, too, I take as dogma. We may observe how the early Church operated, under Holy Spirit's direction, at that time and in those circumstances. I believe it is unwarranted extrapolation to state categorically that God will never operate differently. Indeed, other scriptures, far from back Derek's statement up. I understand he was troubled by the way some so called prophets were behaving, but it would be better to teach people how to recognise a humble, attentive, dutiful man or woman friend of God. And how to recognise an antichrist. We are warned there will be false prophets, ravenous wolves in sheep's clothing. There is plenty of guidance scripture can give us, without resorting to drawing unwarranted conclusions from accounts of some of what happened in the early church. I note that, in his later messages, Derek is far more humble and gracious, and less dictatorial. Please understand that I greatly appreciate and regularly support Derek Prince Ministries, but each of us needs to be able to discern a fleshy reaction when we see it, in ourselves as well as in others. I do also appreciate the revelatory truths in these messages. Blessings. Janice

The only thing that is wrong with this teaching is referring the office positions to just men. Throughout the Bible there were woman Apostles and Prophets. It is a religious doctrine not a Biblical truth that only men can be ordained in the five fold offices.

Read Galatians 3:28-29. Also Acts mentions women: Priscilla and Aquila had a ministry in their home. Lydia, a seller of purple, operated a charity. Paul mentions Timothy's mother and Grandmother, Eunice and Lois. The 120 on the day of Pentecost were male and female. Also, recall Deborah was a judge in the Old Testament, Ruth married Boaz, is in the linage of David, Queen Esther. Yes, for the most part, this was a patriarchal society, but women were used also. Today, women play a more noticeable role, not always wise in my opinion, but true women of God are precious.

Jesus is The Only True Teacher and He is Within You! Why do people listen to the opinions of men? I was very mislead doing that. I would Never recommend doing it. 😊❤

I have to check my Pride sometimes.. not much anger..anymore..my biggest sin is Worry. It messes with my Peace a bit. But I am getting better at simply Trusting Him as He asked us to do.
