How could a Muslims think that this is the last and greatest prophet with all the actions he carried out? this really doesn't make sense

I thought the narration was simply that the man was an apostate, and M claimed he was just pretending to be pious. But when Abu Bakr and Umar went to see the man, the deception was just too good and they failed the prophet's mission. I'm Christian and I don't like Muhamad but I tend to think theres a message of a kind in the story, like Muhamad knew that his men would not kill that man because he was praying all the time and that he was a good man that's what I think Muhamad trying his men if they follow his orders and respect Allah, it was because of Allah they stop so Muhamad couldn't punish them, I'm not defending Muhamad actions I just see it differently.

This is a tendency for someone who try to see the good in everywhere, but in other parts of Qur'an and hadiths mohammed killed actually an innocent man so this is not something to learn. Also, allah is the name of a pagan god, it's not God.
