I agree with what Lorraine said about the homeless encampments everywhere yet instead of helping they focus on harassing tax paying homeowners. Something else occurred to me just now…. They made you tear down the structures, but the other aspect is, you need to call the tax assessor and tell them you want them to come out and reassess the value of the property. That way you are not going to be paying taxes on structures that are no longer there. I’m pretty sure if you don’t put in a written request, they will just charge you the same thing next year that you paid this year. No point in paying for invisible buildings. 🤷‍♀️🌻

That is a good point. The county could have gotten a bug up its butt at any time and descended on that property. This way he had fair weather, a new friend and the metal dude come by to get er done.

Please keep up with your paperwork from the county. If it’s like our county, paperwork goes missing. Hopefully the engineer won’t find anything wrong and will sign off on your shop. Keep copies of everything you have on paper as things get misplaced or goes missing. Always protect your self and trust no one with your paperwork concerning this. Who knows, the troll/trouble maker may be low enough to screw with the you again. Prayers everything is good and resolved. ❤❤❤❤❤

Hey, Isaac, on the bright side, your property looks so much better without those ugly structures and demolition debris. And you've made a new friend who is local who can possibly help you with your future projects. I know it's frustrating but the government is known for red tape which can be long and can test your patience. Just keep your eyes on the ball and focus. It will be over soon. I do hope you are getting some sort of settlement from the realtor (or prior owner) for failing to disclose the problems with the property. Or at the very minimum filing a complaint with the state realty regulation boards. My family has always been involved in construction and properties and I am amazed at the problems you are experiencing and how well you are handling all of it. I am not sure I could stay that focused and 'calm'.

Prayers that the last building can be kept and clears county.

Our attorney told us in a similar situation, that those waivers don't have a leg to stand on. Even if someone signs one, they can still sue, and we could be out thousands in legal fees, and even medical costs.

It is a shame that no one caught all of the illegal builds on the property. I should think that there would be money to be made on the scrap metal. I am glad that Jaylena has the time to spend with her family. Ember is behaving more like a 3 year old the way she talks and walks holding hands. Such a little baby walking doll. Best Wishes. Prayers that this last step goes well and is resolved in your favor asap. I can only imagine the stress this has caused, it is just not right. With all the laws they have regarding these structure permits you would think there would be laws in place to prevent this from happening when you buy a new property. When you buy property and it is financed, someone should be responsible for finding issues such as this before the property is closed on. Prayers.

We had so much similar happen.. Our "reengineered" building cost us 25,000 that we paid extra for in the beginning to have a guest house (advertised and shown) AND no it is not and can never be a guest house but we still had to have it re engineered in order to keep the building even though the county signed off on the electrical panel when it was build prior to our ownership. I feel your stress............

He has not said he is not. He has said he doesn’t feel he should say anything about that entire side of the situation on social media. Reading between the lines tells me that there are things being handled whatever they may be step by step. These sort of things take time and money. Absolutely. This person had a negative agenda and Karma is nothing to mess with. As they will find out. On the plus side- the shoddy buildings are gone and there’s now room and a clear space to build ( with the correct permits you now know all about thanks to this depraved person who has in reality helped you) and you can place them wherever you want, with the views you want and the materials you want. Maybe build a recording studio up on the hill where the red shed was. And a pergola over part of the back deck for a shady relaxing area for eating and having friends and family over. I feel that this dude did you a favor in spite of him/herself. Allow the possibility in your own heart that this is so. Forgive them too- because forgiveness is for you not him/ her. So you don’t carry anger around with you and you’ll be free. He/she won’t. They’ll still have karma breathing down their neck and hunting them down. Sending love to the 3 of you. You must miss them terribly but remember- they love you. And so do we.

Hi Isaac, I watched this earlier on my computer. I can only comment on one of my devices. I'm so proud of you, the place looks amazing, that spot out back of your kitchen door is now a great patio spot, a great place for a grill and some table and chairs if you want. You and Jaylena and some of your friends did an amazing job on the demo and clean up. ❤❤❤
