I know. That house was a chance of a lifetime. The private little courtyard approach, on top of the beautiful character house is probably worth way more than the bland townhouse she picked. I'm 30 years older so I'm sure she picked what works for her but I wanted to shout at the TV, buy #3.😂

If the guys had 120,000 to spend, loved the flat and could have got it for at least 5,000 under, why would they be so tight and lose it? The girl on the other hand was prepared to go for the amount she set out with and got it for less. Good for her, she’s got her head screwed on.

All the period properties were lovely. In my fantasy world, I would gladly live in any of them. Then Nanny (Naomi?) went and bought a fairly bland modern house. But, her money, her choice. John and Mo: Why not go for the new build with the huge terrace? I don't get it. Regardless, they dream of different things about where they want to live. Do they have different views about other issues too? Maybe it's just as well they did not buy anything.

@@dianewalker4633 Yeah, I suspect they are no longer together. I even suspect they stopped being together fairly soon after this episode. I had some sympathy for John, because I feel something dying inside me when I hear the word "suburban", although these British suburbs seem nothing like the North American ones. I had some sympathy for Phil also, because the wishes of these two guys were absolutely irreconcilable. At the end, John was ready to go for 112,000 pounds, but he got the death stare from Mo who justly felt he had compromised enough, and for whom a 110,000 maximum was probably symbolic. As I wrote, just as well they didn't buy anything.

The guys were fishing. As you mentioned, they weren't serious about home ownership.

Intern and will doubtless be working within the NHS in the future. Not sure if there are a lot of millionaires there. From the comments, it sounds like in the States they're all in private practice amassing millions!
