    I used to live in Ealing, not far from Chiswick, and also in Hertfordshire, so I'm well acquainted with the routes around the capitol from west to north-east... For the life of me, I don't see how the awful slog around either the North Circular Rd or the M-25 is a desirable or easy commute. If they wanted village-like life, why not St Albans: 30 minutes train into London, and a heckuvalot closer to Lincolnshire? Oh well, perhaps he was contemplating changing jobs!

    For a show called Location Location Location one might think they'd know enough to not show places in ugly areas over Chinese food places. While one can always sink money into any place, resale is affected by curb appeal and location. That constant refrain of, "if they can just get past the outside" is bad advice. No one has to buy a property based solely on what is for sale during a few day span, yet each show is presented as if both the buyer and the audience are that dumb. The constant refrain about the NEED to get on the property ladder keeps over looking the fact that these people who are renting have been able to both rent AND save. Encouraging these people to even consider properties that can never be nice, or can be nice but are not located in nice areas is just wrong. So many of the people they are advising, are people who have been too busy to look on their own. It makes no sense to then show them places where entire kitchens or bathrooms need to be redone, or walls taken down and extensions added. These are people who need a ready to move in property. There is always the problem of the buyers wanting more than they can afford. Even back in the early 2000s, when many of these shows were filmed, everyone could look and see what property was going for. Even after the awful places shown in order to "educate" their buyers, isn't it amazing how often they end up finding almost precisely what they just told the buyer was impossible? Again, viewing audiences are not as dumb as this show constantly assumes they are!

  • @trildi

    @trildi

    Жыл бұрын

    Nah. No one's asking them to buy property. Remember, these people *applied to be on the show* because they *know* ''what they want doesn't exist'' - it's a phrase buyers keep repeating on this show, not because they ''have been too busy to look on their own''. This show is for all those who are 1. unrealistic 2. too stuck in their ways and demands 3. afraid to take the plunge. We see this every single episode.
