👩💻 What You'll Discover:
▪️ Ease of Use: Learn how Microsoft Forms simplifies data collection from surveys to feedback forms, all without any programming.
▪️ Versatile Form Elements: Explore how to include various elements like drop-downs, multiple choice, calendar dates, number checks, and even star ratings in your forms.
▪️ Seamless Excel Integration: Understand how to control and analyze your form data directly in Excel, especially if you have a Microsoft 365 account.
▪️ Form Creation Walkthrough: Follow a step-by-step guide to creating your first form, including tips on adding questions, choosing question types, and customizing your form.
We'll cover how you can use Microsoft forms to add dropdowns, multiple choice, calendar date selection, number checks, net promoter score, and even star ratings.
If you'd like to automatically connect the Excel Form results to your Microsoft Form, you need to use Excel Online. If you'd like to export the Microsoft Form results without an automatic connection, you can create your Form directly from Microsoft Forms. You have access to Microsoft Forms also with a free Microsoft 365 account.
If you'd like to collect data in Excel with a data entry form or a user form, think about using Microsoft Forms instead. It's the better way of collecting data from different people as long as it's not lots of data (for example for budget purposes). This works well for surveys, quizzes, polls and information on a smaller scale.

Hi, I have question let say I have a question to upload excel file, now how to heve this uploaded files into my excel as Data rows it's shown as links I want a way to read from upload and insert as rows
As usual, thanks again, Leila. When I come to KZread to explore and learn about a new topic - in this case, MS365 and MS apps - it should be confusing because there are (literally) hundreds (if not thousands) of quality tutorials. But there are only a handful of educators who are of platinum+++ standard, whose tutorials I know will give me exactly what I need. Every time, without fail. You are right the top of the tree, and thank you for the obvious effort you put into this. if I sound extra-grateful today, it is because MS Forms is maybe their poorest documented product, and many non-MS tutorials only regurgitate the basics. It is so rewarding to arrive here and listen to your crystal clear presentation on the Forms-Excel relationship and link. Just brilliant. ☮🙏
I've recently had to create more and more forms to collect opinions/preferences, basic data and have had so much trouble getting this accomplished. After watching a couple of hours worth I can across this one and it is a time saver! The tutorial is so easy to follow at a nice pace with great explanation. Thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much for making this tutorial! My organization has been using a system of paper surveys for over ten years and this is going to save HUNDREDS of hours of work transferring them into excel and is infinitely simpler to use!
I am currently moving our company to Teams and using these apps to connect our organization. Your videos have been such a huge asset for me! Thank you!
I started watching your video from yesterday and I'm just loving all of them....... You're doing just great work Keep it up Good bless you 👍
Leila, unbelievable well presentations. I didn’t learn anything in school, despite thousands owed in student loans, compared with what I learned from you. Thank you much!!!
I tried it on my own yesterday (8 Dec) for the first time and I did it from Forms first, I couldn't get it shared to who I wanted it to go to. I thank you for this video, good job.
just conducted an experiment and it was really fantastic!!!. Thanks Leila....Such a darling!!
still watching your videos leila i'm not getting bored about microsoft forms in this pandemic situation and learning a lot more thank you so much ....... hope you do more and more videos further ..and i can't wait to watch it................... thank you once again 👍👍🙏🙏
Now Leila!, You know you should have SELECTED 20 for the answer about your Excel skills!! 😁😋 I agree with the comments below - here I am needing to create my first survey form, and (as always), here you are boosting my knowledge level on the subject! I appreciate you, Leila, WE ALL appreciate you - you're SAVING LIVES out here on these Microsoft Office streets - PROPS!
I love and appreciate the timeliness of your videos, Leila. Sometimes I feel like we're on a similar learning journey, but that you're just ahead of me, so that I (and obviously everyone else) reaps the benefits of your willingness to share what you know and have learned. Greatly appreciated, and don't stop learning and sharing!

@@LeilaGharani Hi, I'm from Iran 🇮🇷 I have a problem I want to know how can we convert the Xlsm file to Exe or something like that Others can use this app without Excel. I searched for this about 8months Can you help us??
Thank you for your explanation. Other videos explain how to make forms, how they function, all their features, they did not explain where the data goes, how to use the collected data, where it connects to anything least of all Excel. When I first saw MS Forms I thought "ah-hah similar to Google Forms which ties into Google Sheets." Nobody explained the use of Excel, at least the videos I watched. Your explanation is a breath of enlightenment. Yes, yes, I first should have looked for your video. Thank you!
What a useful concept! thank you, Leila! It was my nightmare for more than 3 years that started in 2012 in the computer world for my small business.
Every time I watch your video, I end up learning something new and today was no exception! Just when I thought, I knew Forms enough, I was surprised by some things I never noticed! Thanks for enlightening! 😊👍 BTW, up next is what? a video on Grid documents? Would love to learn that from you!
This has been the closest thing to a revelation I have ever had. Fantastic feature!! Thank you, Leila. You rock, as always!

A great session by excellent instructor! Thank you Leila. Greetings from Vienna...
That was indeed a great tutorial Leila. Thank you for making this video. There is one more option in MS forms that is option to upload/attach file to the form. Most of the people don't use it even though they need to. It will be nice if you create another video and cover that part as well. All the best for the future.👍👍

I do have a question on Forms: Is it possible to send a response notification to different people, depending on the answers given? It would be great to know. I’ve been trying to fond it in Power Automate but I do need help! If you know an answer, I would really appreciate a tutorial 😊

Hi Leila, your videos are awesome and a great treasure of knowledge. Thanks a lot for the great content you keep on sharing with us. Is it possible to create dependent lists in MS Forms?
Thanks for sharing this Leila - it was well presented! One would be also interested in how best or smartest to analyze the data towards presenting from the created survey via say pivot or otherwise?
Heavens bless you for this video. It has helped me a lot. Thanks a lot.
Every video is amazing tips has been sharing.. Thank you so much
Thank you, I have 365 account, but creating forms directly, not from excel. Then I downloaded the responses in excel, copy and paste them in my master excel. I was not aware of crating forms from excel itself. Thanks for sharing.

As a novice I was able to follow along and create my first MS Forms document. Now that it's created it has to go to multiple administrators for approval. I'm off to see if there's a video, by you of course, to automate the flow of approvals. Fingers Crossed

Hi Leila. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I do have a question - if I was using Forms for my team to submit invoices for payment (not sure Forms is the best option, but I think it might work), how would I set up a question for account coding? I wouldn't be able to list all the options (there are just too many) and I don't see a way to insert multiple text responses.
GREAT WORK ! YOU POST THE BEST CONTENT !
Your Excel skill is 7!! thats so humble.. loved the video as always:)

Thank you very clear informations :). I will try Grid also :)
This is a very good video for beginners who don't have any idea about Microsoft Forms.
Thank you Leila. From your experience, do you think that we can use MS forms to consolidate different reportings with different values (numbers, free texts, pourcentages) and how can we generate automatic reports and graphs from Excel ? Thanks
Hi Leila, i love watching you explained about excel and i have learned alot. However, i am planning to use excel to create a form that will allow the employees to apply for their annual leaves, medical leave or hospitalization leave and etc, can the same concept you shared here be applicable? Or should i use other method?
Thank you so much Leila, I have been obsessed with our Channel!. I do have a questions regarding this tutorial. How may I rearrange the questions in Excel after the form is created?
Thank you for the tutorial
Thank you Leila! Very informative as usual. I didn't know you can insert Forms from within Excel online! One question, when the number of responses exceed 10,000 what will happen to the Excel file on Sharepoint/Onedrive? Will it create a new sheet in the same file, or create a new file in the same folder, or something else? In my case where I created the survey directly on Forms, the responses are divided into multiple downloadable Excel files, so I have to skip a few downloads before I can get the latest responses.
I always learn SO much from your views. I created a form easily. I used repeating sections so that the client could enter data to the same questions. When viewed in Excel online, the answers in each section appear in different column order, ie, answer 2 will be to the left of answer 1 in various sections? Is this a flaw in how Excel displays the form response?
thank you for sharing knowledge...👍
Excellent structure and detail. You are awesome.
Hi Leila, thank you for sharing how to use Forms using Excel online. I've got a very long survey form with multiple segments. What would be your recommendations on how i can segmentise the same survey form using Microsoft Forms?
You did a good job, your explanation is clear and useful
Great video, it was brief and very easy to understand.
Thank you for the video Leila, great presentation as always. Quick question: Is it possible to use Microsoft Forms for school registration where different people have to attach documents? seem if one has to attach a document it should be only people within the organization.
Thank you very much for your useful video
Thank you for this tutorial, helps a lot to understand what matters on forms and what can be secondary. is there a way of filling the forms offline? That would be essencial for field surveys, census and so on.
Extremely Useful ... thumps up .... thanks Leila
Leila, thank you so much for this video - I never knew about the "live" link from Forms to Excel, I always followed the download XLS route. That has really helped me! Would it be possible for you to make another short video about taking that live data and updating charts in real time as answers are given and also see these "live charts" animate in PowerPoint as the answers roll in? I have tried and cant figure out how it could be done. If it could be then this rivals offerings like sli.do at a basic enough level for most people,. Thanks again!!
Thank you for your videos, it helps me to stay up to date with excel. I've the paid version of Office 365 and I didn't find "Forms" in excel, any hints?
Hello - Great demo. Can you secure (shield) the responses form the submitters? For example if this was an HR (Human Resources) form and you want to limit the ability to view or download the responses, can you limit access?
Engaging, informative and nicely paced... 👍
Leila ,thanks for very interesting lesson!
