Is anyone going to talk about those last few lines? -“The rolling hills, the water flows, the flowers bloom. There is no me, there is no you, there is all. There is no you, there is no me, that is all.” I consider myself pretty emotionally numb but I admit those last lines actually made me tear up.

This song is about DMT. N,N-Dimethyltryptamine to be exact...there's several forms. This song is referring to ayahuasca. Mushrooms being one(4-PO-DMT) Do some DMT and this song will makes sense as it turns into jello in your ears while unexplainable beings judge you for 15-20 min while looking through a kaleidoscope...6-10 hours with ayahuasca, but you have to take an MAOI to get high by ingesting it. Thays what this song is about. Be safe...don't do DMT. Leave it for the experts.

Not sure what I might have said about those lines when I was a part of Unscripted Moments, a song by song breakdown of Propagandhi, but we covered this song pretty early on in the show with an interview with Chris Hannah. Even more, if you don’t subscribe to his Patreon, it is 100% worth it, though he has paused it for the moment while working on a new album. His Duplicate Keys episode is honestly incredible. My favorite song of all time. Happy listening.

I have to say, I don't just find this to be the best Propagandhi song ever, but I am pretty confident that - to my ears - this is easily my favourite song ever. It is just so perfect (with the very slight exception of the held "exotic" that doesn't quite resonate with me as powerfully impactful as literally EVERY OTHER MOMENT of the song, lyrically, musically, the riffs, the drums, the transitions, just... WOW).

Yeah, easily one of the best songs from their discography. The shape the song takes after the bridge is amazing.

i never thought in a million years that these two things, so seemingly unrelated, but both of which i attribute to saving my life in a way...would come together like this , it was like a dream the first time i heard these lyrics... and of course, in true Propagandhi form, an end of record shredder melt your face while re building your mind what a beautiful juxtaposition of these two wildly different yet equally important parts of this one humans journey...

I don't care for Todd's songs on SC all that much, otherwise I'd agree with you. Have you heard the remixed TETA? Sounds a lot better, I think!

@@JeffreySmith84 I dont really like Todd's vocals to be honest. Chris though 😍 My favorite bands of all time are Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, Propagandi and Body Count and either band could be my favorite depending on the times. Special mention for Gorija and GNR. I discovered a great new band last year and their new stuff is great. Check out Hangman's Chair and their new singles "Cold and Distant" and "Loner" their new album is our this year in February.

Absolutely. I haven't taken any orally cause you have to take an MAOI with it, but smoking it is more intense and only lasts 15-20 min. By taking an MAOI, it stops your body from metabolizing it as quickly, so it lasts longer, but not as potent.

We're so frequently seduced by such novel, exotic views. Our confirmation biases leverage everything we perceive. Visions so astonishing, preposterous, impossible. A cosmic lattice of calligraphies, geometries unthinkable. Infinite Jaali screens, alive, florescent as I shatter, melt. Annihilation. Rolling hills. The water flows. The flowers bloom. There is no me. There is no you. There is all. There is no you. There is no me. And that is all. Profound acceptance of Enormous pageantry The haunting certainty A poetic principle of This universe is love ************************** Un'inondazione primordiale attraverso la barriera emato-encefalica. Schermi infiniti, vivi, fluorescenti, mentre mi frantumo, mi sciolgo. L’annientamento. Colline ondeggianti. L'acqua scorre. I fiori sbocciano. Non ci sono io. Non ci sei tu. C'è tutto. Non ci sei tu. Non ci sono io. E questo è tutto. Accettazione profonda di questo enorme spettacolo. La certezza inquietante, un principio poetico: questo universo è amore.

"But as he stands before imminent death, he grasps its nature also, and the cosmic import of the step to come. His creative imagination constructs new, fearful prospects behind the curtain of death, and he sees that even there is no sanctuary found. And now he can discern the outline of his biologico-cosmic terms: He is the universe’s helpless captive, kept to fall into nameless possibilities. From this moment on, he is in a state of relentless panic." -- Peter Wessel Zapffe, The Last Messiah
