Proof the Doom soundtrack is a masterpiece

This is my version of " The only thing they fear is you" from the Doom Eternal soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon. The original track uses 8 string guitars, and its in the key of Eb. For this version I am using a 7 string, and I changed the key to D.
It is one of my favorite soundtracks, and I wanted to create my own version of it. I re-made every instrument of the original track for this video, and that's why I took so long. I had a lot of fun and I also learned a lot from listening closely to the Mick Gordon's mix.
As always, the tabs are on Patreon and if you're struggling to learn it, send me a message through Patreon, and I will be happy to help!

According to the lore, he doesn't need guns, he just finds them enjoyable. The in-game berserk power up is his classic way of killing demons.

Lets not also forget that the music for the game was made to be interactive, so the song would play out differently depending if you were in combat or not and regardless what you're doing in the game, it still slaps

That's the most impressive part to me, I'd love to know exactly how they're able to seamlessly transition and link and loop and extend all those separate parts

@@OfficiallyMaidenless i believe there are some interviews mick gordon did on that but if I remember right basically he had to write transitions between any two parts of a “song” that would be used together. I believe the programming for different parts is based mostly on enemies in proximity, how many enemies you are chaining, and health

@@OfficiallyMaidenless i mean, this idea of music morphing with play has been done (to some degree or another-i remember "the chaos engine"/"soldiers of fortune" doing something like it back in the 90s, even). not to say its implementation in doom '16 isn't impressive, especially given the complexity of the score… but it isn't quite as novel as you might think.
Not only was that was an excellent playthrough, but I really appreciate that you included the full arrangement, highlighting the individual instruments. Moments I never noticed the value of you draw attention to., like the drum pattern changes and subtle synth in the background duet over the main guitar melody. This was lovely to see today. Thank you 🔥

@@Ninkitsue mad. i wanna know what fkn idiot said for there to be no guitars on it so this’ll be a fun watch
The precussive HEAVY overtone just makes the entire soundtrack feel like the heartbeat of the game ESPECIALLY when the music fades and then comes in during combat its amazing
0:40 that's just such a wicked sound
Spent two days? Let's watch it twice to make it worth
This will prob be your most successful video to date. 7/8 stringers doing Doom stuff is always huge and you always deliver quality.
I love when in the chorus riff on the last bar they just play the intro riff instead of playing the chorus riff 4 bars. Sounds so clean
Thank you Mick Gordon for blessing us with Doomcore🔥💯🤘

I love hearing drums in your arrangements!
That riff a 4th down hits so fucking different 🔥
Some things just don’t need to be recorded, produced, or uploaded. Then there is this. The internet is forever. And you have forever given mankind an amazing gift. We all say thank you.
It sounds phenomenal! That’s why. 😁
So well done 👏🏻 one of my all time faves from your channel 🤘🏻
That was great seeing how the different parts are added and mixed in, more of this please!
That was awesome bro, love the little additions too
you are incredible man, youve helped me to appreciate music even more.
I find especially the last section of the track to be amazing. The simple 8-1-6-5 melody ontop of the main riff fits perfectly👌
I joined your Patreon because of this video! Been following you for about a year now. Thanks for all of your hard work!
this cover is insane, well done dude
Definetely one of the coolest vids on your channel! Really like the format of longer songs with other instruments. Harder and longer to make, but the work pays off
Facts, and the hardwork put into this track and playing, legendary 🙌 👌 👏 💯
I think "same riff a 4th down" is one of my favorite arrangement tricks. It gets me every time
