I love that Jessica brought up the point of "romanization" because it's actually a common issue that Korean people think need to be regulated as well. We have a list of suggestions and rules, but nothing is set in stone. For a country whose GDP relys on exported goods, I (and many Koreans likewize) strongly support the idea of standardizing names and patterns. The same name such as Jungkook or Gim can be (misspelled) as Junggook, Kim etc. And not only is it confusing for foreigners, it's a bigger headache for Koreans as well. Especially when working with government documents lol.

I would have been more happy if Grace would have mentioned about Sriya(Blackswan) and Aria(X:IN) They are the only Indian KPOP idols in the industry

Gp only knows about BTS.. probably few know BP but speaking about non k-pop fans..it's BTS, that's the fact..she's correct.. before BTS, only North East Indians and few..like 1-2% hardly in mainland India knew about k-pop...even South Korea tbh..knowing about even the term "k-pop" before BTS was rare..BTS are the reason that k-pop is mainstream and even know in majority of countries around the world..and it's not niche interest anymore.. BTS indeed paved the way for k-pop globally

I agree with you, it's true that people who don't know anything about Korea or k-pop they still know about BTS because of their toxic fans and call them plastic but the people who know about k-pop and follow them they like other groups besides BTS. I don't think so she forgot them, question was is kpop popular in our country?!.. and she answered it well, In India kpop is famous becoz of BTS.. if you ask any random person about SK, even if they have 0 knowledge about SK they will atleast know about BTS...the other countrie's kpop members like lisa and etc are either already famous or they debuted in a famous company...Sriya and Aria are still growing on their own will as they debuted in small company...many Indians still doesn't know about them...And most important Kpop craze started growing in India since 2020 so ofcourse it's becoz of BTS and other kpop groups..

FYI, not every Indian people will pronounce the name "tzuyu" as she pronounced in the video. Some of us we might as well pronounce it as "zuyu" leaving T silent. I pronounce it like other girls that are telling that in this video.

Alright lemme say something real quick, the Indian one you brought is not a K-pop fan, umm, no no. She's literally stereotyping that's so disrespectful. If its good its good, and it being popular won’t be a reason for me to stop listening it. And that a genre is popular doesn’t mean everything of that genre is popular. There are plenty of good k-pop songs that aren’t popular or trendy
