Saw them back in the '86-'88 time period in Maryland as a teenager, changed my outlook on metal... of what it could be.

Back when I knew Tommy and Mike. I worked with them at CBGB and rehearsed in the same room - in the basement of an S&M club called paddles.

Such a killer and unique sounding band. Underated early years of merging of extreme styles of music put in a blender and out comes PRONG!!!!!!!!

saw them a few years ago, awesome to see them live. This might have been one of the finest line ups, with Ted Parsons behind the drums... Going to see them again at the end of this year

This is from a Dutch national television station de VPRO, the show was called FIRMA ONRUST. Was typical progressive (then alternative) music. De tv studio was in Utrecht, nearby the central station. Saw there live Public Enemy, De la Soul and Prong.. So cool to see this again. Thanks for posting this video! (do you have more footage of Firma Onrust?) And now (30 years later) i have to prepare for tonight show: PRONG live in Patronaat Haarlem 😬 PUNKROCKANDROLL baby 😛😝 HardCore until i die ☠️

@W. According to an odd "print on demand" biography I picked up (so, consider the source), Kirkland didn't care for the direction Victor was going with the "groove metal" direction. He didn't state "groove metal" specifically but that's the big difference between Force Fed, Beg to Differ (his last) and Prove You Wrong. Kirkland was always into weirder stuff, Victor was trying to get a career going - the two don't typically go together!

How is this 1989? I saw them well after this. They still had "Leather", "spikes", and colored, spiked "MOHAWKS"? How does that make sense? They were the "Pure", "Crazy Ass", "FUCKED UP" Band? ......What happened? Did they run out of "Drugs"?
