Lovely one hit wonder from the late seventies. I've mixed / synced decent quality audio to this.

Gosh it was GREAT being a young kid in the 70’s. Young, free, zero worries and running a muck on our bikes with the other neighbourhood kids. Summer was the best time of the year. No school, going to the local swimming pool all day long and getting home in the evenings. We took those days for granted and were in such a hurry to grow up. Those were the best times.

This was just one of the reasons why 1979 was such a great time to be alive! Making "Countdown" on the ABC in Australia compulsive viewing on a Sunday night.

Mate, was the Saturday viewing a replay of the previous Sunday? No matter, I remember my sister and I always negotiating with our parents about watching the top ten which clashed with the 6 o’clock news (at least in Brisbane it did). Memories. This song is a great example of those 70s songs with pounding chorus’s, rock guitar and keyboards plus some horns. Isn’t it time and every time I think of you by the baby’s doing to mind. Miss Molly meldrum too. He’s still around but gees he was influential.

@@WinChun78I used to live in Brisbane, Australia. We had a state government that banned street protests. You couldn’t go to a local concert without the boys in blue turning up to hassle people. Racism was rife. You couldn’t be a black fella out at night with out getting pestered by the police. Poofta bashing was a sport. For the first few years the Vietnam war raged. My uncle got called up for national service… so did thousands of Australians. The price of oil went through the roof after the 73 Arab Israeli war, causing a severe contraction of the global economy. My parents were just holding on to our house by their finger tips for most of the decade. My mother got paid less than her male co workers for doing the same job…. Nop, not a golden time from my memory.simpler, but not better. Ah, and I forgot about the Cold War.

@@gattingbowledwarne Here in the UK, the 70's were good. It was once we got into the 1980's that everything started going downhill here; huge unemployment, etc, unless you were a Yuppie, but there were still a lot of good times to be had, way more than now. For me, there were still the last burning embers of 70's culture, with people, music, festivals etc, so we were still able to live out that same kind of vibe. Going into some of the clubs I used to go to then was like stepping back to 1975...

Magnificent mammories sorry memories. Lol. Seriously though, this was a huge hit here in Australia. Reading Wikipedia, she's been involved in a couple of other bands over the years and done some bits and pieces but It's a pity her career didn't take off in a big way after this massive hit. As a group, they certainly had some potential. They knew how to make music back then not like the ear bleeding crap that tries to pass for music today. Thanks for uploading this clip.

Bloody hell. Both singers have incredible voices.I used to hear it all the time on the radio back in 1979, and it was just background music, until now. Dubious dress sense, but as they say, "Don't judge a book," etc. Now that I'm a certain age, I need to re-evaluate the songs from that era.

I have never heard this song before tonight. THANK YOU, electriclaz for uploading it. I am MOVED! I think it showed up in my feed because I was watching car crash videos and the first video was a girl driving while Naked Eyes "Always Something There to Remind Me" was playing on her radio so I had to look it up and immediately listen to it. That kind of music was my music. Tony Carey, Pop Punk stuff, and the more unusual stuff that floated through college towns before the advent of file sharing and youtube. I immediately have to figure out how to download this and keep it forever. I cannot believe I have never heard it before. Obviously there's a visual titillation with the video (pun intended) but man, those vocals!

This song is a great example of those 70s songs with pounding chorus’s, rock guitar and keyboards plus some horns. Isn’t it time and every time I think of you by the baby’s doing to mind. I too was there when this first came on our TV screens, she rocked my world and made me dream of what could be. Apart from her amazing body, when I look at it now I see the the perfect rock goddess and passion in her performance. It brought tears to my eyes reading your post, I shit you not. Finally, someone who could sum up the good old fashioned values that allowed blokes like you and me to go along to bands like Redgum and AC/DC at local venues with 400 people packed into a room build for half that number. And there would be 4 or 5 people playing actual instruments hooked up to actual working amps and they'd thrash out their latest tunes. Real bands with real performers. They just don't write 'em like that anymore, if you'll forgive me using someone else's line (Greg Kihn).

I have been trying to remember this song for years, my first love/invatuation at school 1977/1978. All these years later after trying to remember it came back to me December 2022, I just heard it on Spotify and bang this is it. I still remember her, long dark hair, slim, blue eyes.

Loved this song when I was 10 and it’s still one of the best 40years on. Unforgettable.
I see it peaked at no. 2 in Australia, here in South Africa it got to no. 3, I were 8 years old and remember it, it was a relief from some of the dancy stuff that came out that time, very different. Sadly I haven't heard it on the radio since that time, other songs that charted lower during that time, gets radio play but not this one.

Christ almighty! She is AWESOME!!!
