I'm not a Deere fan enough to buy a Deere to farm with, but I do like the look of those big classic old girls and the sound of them working hard just like the big Fords and IH's. If that one was mine I'd do all the mechanical stuff paint the front weights and wheels, put a cab interior kit in, and take her to the field and moderately work the snot out of it like it was intended to do,.workings more interesting to me than fancy shiny 2 pack paint jobs,and seeing it at a show or plow day , and not wanting to get it real dirty. Theres a 4755 or a 4960 in kilkenny. Not sure which number but they're both the same model if I'm not mistaken ? Just sold under different numbers in the U.S market. Or maybe the one your on about Is the one that was in kilkenny? As that was for sale.

yes i think the 4955 came from Kilkenny it is now out side Omagh Co Tyrone.

Can't help noticing a dent in the bonnet

It’s still missing some bits !, and you can’t get them from Deere anymore as there are no longer available !. I have them here but it took me 7 years to track them down.

But is she still stuck in 4 wheel drive?

Hi , please any pointers on how to restore digital tacho and rev counter which has suddenly stopped showing on my JD 4755? No dash lights are working and tractor has stopped charging , Lights and indicators working but no other dash lights, Tractor starts on key . Have checked all the 30 amp to 7.5 amp push in fuses . Damien Moloney wasn't enough weight and traction plenty of hp

but its slipping to much... slip is bad when plowing hmkay. demolishes the soil structure in ur plow fore. needs more weights to reduce slip...

Case ih is much better but the old 55 series deere r sexy. Not christie sexy but still sexy.
