Woolen spun yarn or worsted spun is how the fiber is prepped before it's spun. Worsted spun is a tighter more defined spin because the fibers are combed straight before the spin. Woolen spun is loftier and airy. Superwash or Non-Superwash is whether or not a treatment has been used to make the yarn machine washable. The stitch definition has a lot to do with how the yarn is spun and not necessarily whether it's Superwash or not. Look into the terms so you have a better idea of which yarn to use. It'll help you to find substitutions more easily.

I think you should finish your sweater and gift it to a friend. I’ve done the same thing so many times, chosen the wrong colour. If I finish it and keep the item I don’t wear it, if I frog it I don’t end up using the yarn again because I already know it doesn’t suit me. Great first episode, thank you 😊

A lovely first podcast! The mustard color looks nice with your skin tone, hair, and eyes. Maybe knit a cowl/scarf with more colors to wear with it. It would also be pretty with a flowy woven silk, multicolored scarf near your face. If that doesn't work I agree with others...overdye it, which could be a fun project. Looking forward to seeing you again.

I know what you mean about the knitting hobby, I don't know a soul who knits. In SW Ga., everyone crochets. Oh well, least there is You Tube to connect with other knitters. As for that gorgeous camel colored sweater, no way I'd rip that out. It's beautiful. You can knit another one, if you don't like the color of that one, or maybe you can gift it to someone. The Flowers cardigan is to die for, love your color choices. Congrats on your new podcast, I'm sure you will do well. You are very personable and fun to listen to.

Congratulations - thank you for showcasing your knit passion with a knit podcast. You inspired me to try the pressed flower since I spin myself, and the pressed flower really showcased the beautiful hand-spun yarn so well. Remember that you can redye the Afra sweater - for another color. It is not very difficult, and the sweater is so beautiful. And if it fits, that's the most important. Thank you for putting your voice out. Love from Scandinavia

I think you are a natural in front of the camera. I know that you said you don't have a problem reknitting the Afra but it would pain ME to have you undo all those hours of work. Ask yourself what the original intention you had to wear this with and keep that in mind before the frogging starts. Best of luck with this new adventure and looking forward to your next podcast whenever you have the time to post.

That sweater is gorgeous! If you are not comfortable with the color, I agree with others-over dye it. Decide if you want more gold or more brown. With your golden skin tone, you could go either way. And the cuff issue? After leaving it for awhile and more hours on the needle, you will quickly resolve the issue. And continue with your podcast. You seem quite comfortable behind the camera and are so genuine. Keep it up!

I think it’s worth finishing too… and worst case over-dye it and wear it and see how you like the sweater… you can always make another one… love the teal

also! if you are not happy with the color, you can dye it or , since it is cashmere, frog it and use it for a half and half for whenever you finish the other one, as you will enjoy the process of your next background project! I have frogged manchelopis knitted in 2 different projects because I was not vibing with the project. It is a pain, but you gotta trust your gut :)
