Decent illustration of opportunity costs in trading. But when it comes to individual player habits you make a lot of implicit assumptions. For instance not all players play continuously during the season, some start later or take breaks in between. Some (like me) don't know ahead of time how much free time they will have available at all. So there isn't a simple model that fits everyone.

Learning trade economy in this game is so important and funny enough it translates to real life too. All these principles you discussed are how people become insanely wealthy. usually those clutching their pearls in hopes of a big pay out miss the boat.

Yeah I'm seeing that. I can find most of the nay-sayers accounts and they are almost universally undergeared. However, even if they want to throw fits, I bet at least some of them will take the information to heart and change how they trade. It's beneficial to them to trade better.

I think the main issue with the first video and this one to a lesser degree is that it felt too personal towards this guy with a bitter and vindictive attitude. Adding on a bunch of assumptions about this specific player muddied it further “fake offer of 3.5” (or someone just offered him In game ? Or on the trade site without the offer button). And the assumption that this guy just kept playing after the 10hr offer (real life could have happened and kept him away for days). Anyways the overall point about opportunity cost is a good one. I think the very pertinent downside of selling things too quickly would be good to mention as well - what if he had accepted your 2.25 offer? Or the 3.5 offer? Would 11 the next week be better than those offers ? The tough part of trading is the balance immediate cash vs waiting. Anyways, enjoy the content lawlsuit.

It's crazy how zod went up... When you posted your video about stabbyhoe I bought a zod and the Cham.. 2.75 and 1.25 respectively.. and them were already asking for 3 for the zod.. so I consider I boght if cheap... Now I see 3.5 and kinda stabilized, so probably in two more week we should see those prices start coming down Right?

maybe. any rune outside of the standards is season dependent. Right now, everyone is trying to play the necromancers - poison strike and green goblin. Both require a Zod rune, so that's spiking. We can't really know what's going to be popular until it is.

Minor point, I do believe you initially stated you offered 2.25 on his 10 ask (rather than 2.25 on his 3.5).

As you said, minor point. I wanted to show how you fuck up your trading and I knew everyone was going to paint this as a pissy trade dispute. I tried to explain that away to make the point without graphs and technical terms, and it backfired. So here's the graphs and technical terms.

I just rewatched it I did say he had BIN 10 HRS up initially. It was a pure offers post before he got the 7.5 offer.
