I don’t know if reviews are the answer but I agree it’s a problem. I feel like reviews are just rife for abuse if someone wants to be a dick. I actually used to work at yelp, The way reviews worked there is if people have a good experience most folks don’t review. The most common reviews are generally negative ones.

Bingo. You have to ask people for positive reviews AND do a good job and even then half of them forget. That's the problem we talked about - I can think of 100 ways to make bad behavior punishable but it's much harder to reward good behavior.

Love your content and I love PD2. I have only found an ist so far, so the season is still fresh to me. I am selling everything I can to stack currency though. Love the grind! Got my LS Javazon to level 86, having fun when I can get on to play.

Not sure if you two touched on this (only partially through video) but since the trade site offers 3 ways to connect with a user, unless the DM/IN game messages are linked to the item (in terms of seeing what's been offered) I imagine the issue will still persist. I think its safe to say a majority of trades and offers are done via DM instead of the item page, so I think this would need to be addressed as well.

I think the best way to do it is to show completed vs expired trades. I can see what people post stuff for, and it’s helpful to try to get an idea/mean value of something when posting an item, but I cannot distinguish between what has expired or what actually sold.

My idea is a karma tipping system. Each season every account starts off with 100 karma. say someone hops in your ancients hlp game you can search their acc on trade site and tip them 1-2 karma. If you find a good trade you can tip them karma afterwards. Even to the point of offering items or services in exchange for karma. This would work as a double edged sword as it would be easy to spot those who are in the margins of overly high or low karma either by hoarding karma or cashing out karma. The goal would be roughly in the average of the active user base. If a sellers account had ten users worth of karma was low balling me I'd have an easy informal counter offer of their asking plus karma. If my rng has been shit but I've been active running g rushes or torch services I can cash in some karma to get my next upgrade.

I think the answer is taking away the free text when listing an item on the site and forcing everyone to price each item they post using a comprehensive drop down menu. This takes the “offer” option away.

Ppl asking for 5, 6 hr for a fhr light skill... Had one auto notify me and he posted for 4. I messaged him asking was your reasonable price he said I dunno I just saw the other for 5, 6 I said well yah and they haven't sold cause that's crazy high. He then says well wat u think and I said jah vex Gul. He then proceeded to ask "can you add 10 wss." Ppl feeling like they need to win the negotiation is a cancer. I hate it. I blame pawn stars

Jah vex gul for light skiller is crazy. I'm kinda becoming suspicious there are a few greedy kunts on site trying to control the prices of certain things. U on hc or sc?
