"Death to the Rhombus! Project-Based Learning in an Actual Classroom: Kris Schwengel at TEDxHonoluluED"
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Teachers who think their role is to tell the students what they need to know are going to absolutely hate this method. Especially those who feel threatened by anything which calls their teacher centred methods into question will not be able to adapt to this method at all. If you don't like taking risks or learning along with your students then this is not the method for you. Students who have learned to shut up, only answer questions, and generally sit back and let the teacher do all the work are not going to like this method because they have no chance to hide. So expect some resistance. However, the results are amazing if you have the right attitude.

You can do Mathematics questions as a project's scaffolding step. Doing project based learning didn't mean abandoning worksheets or exercises, but give an authentic purpose to that exercise, that is "doing that exercise, get that basis, to solve a real world problem".
