Project Astra Future of AI Assistants-Is It Better Than Gpt-4o?
Introducing Project Astra. We created a demo in which a tester interacts with a prototype of AI agents supported by our multimodal foundation model, Gemini.
There are two continuous takes: one with the prototype running on a Google Pixel phone and another on a prototype glasses device.
The agent takes in a constant stream of audio and video input. It can reason about its environment in real time and interact with the tester in a conversation about what it is seeing.

i have a question here, why gpt4-o uses filler words at beginning.. i think it uses this for 1 or 2 seconds to get the response from model. I think these 2 seconds helps it in latency that meanwhile response is sent to model .... filler words are used at beginning to act as gatekeeper until response comes.

This MKBHD argument has already been debunked in the same video with countless other examples where model just takes off. You can ask it to cut the crap, and it won't give you that generic AI beginning statements at the start of the convo.
