Progress On My Custom Quilt Order! ✨GORGEOUS Fabrics ✨

I am super excited to share what I've been working on this past week! This is my first custom quilt order in almost 2 years, and it is SO much fun returning to what I love to do. Making quilts for other people is such a labor of love, and I adore being able to work with all kinds of different fabrics. For this quilt, I get to work with gorgeous imported African fabrics and hand-stamped prints.
I hope you enjoy watching me work on this beautiful quilt top and maybe learn from some of my "mistakes," haha! That's the great thing about quilting, right? We're CONSTANTLY learning and growing! Thank you so much for watching, and have a beautiful day!!!

I think you are doing a great job. How is your little studio going? I appreciate all your comments about consistency. I have sewn all my life, but just getting started in quilted. I appreciate Jenny's comment about finished is better than perfection. While I try to improve in some way with each quilt, it gives me permission to allow myself a break when I mess up on something. So I can enjoy the process while learning.😊

Yes! You really do learn something new and get a little better with each quilt. I think that’s why I love it so much! There’s always something new to learn 🥰 my studio is coming together slowly but surely! It’s been very hot here lately, so I haven’t been able to work on it much on the inside. 😂🥵 I should have an update video on Friday about it!

Your work is so neat and those squares are so square and pressed to perfection!! I have been quilting for 30 years and I'm dreaming of having one of your quilts!! I am kind of insanely frugal, so I am wondering if you plan to cut out the background fabric behind those fabulous blocks or leave it there. You could sew them together as a border around the backing you have already planned or incorporate them into another quilt. It might be easier to quilt without the fabric behind the blocks. No matter what you plan, it's going to be a very well loved quilt.
