i bought this from garage stop and it said to watch the video if i don't have an existing remote. nope, not on here. garage stop has no customer service either. great.

exactly what i needed, thank you!

The new coupler for these remotes has much longer pins than the old one. Do not push it all the way in like the video says. Only put it in about a 1/4 inch. Otherwise it will hit the battery short out and will not send the code. It only took me 3 hours to figure it out. Oh well it works good now.

Commenting to bump this comment up. All I got was a solid red light until I pull out the pins a bit from the new remote.

I bought an off brand pin to do this, and it didn't push in all the way (because I couldn't), like in the video, but it still worked. Just a heads up for those of you who don't have the same pin as the guy in this video.

As with Kenneth Woodman below we found the connecter didn't work fully pushed in to the new remote as it had longer pins so I did what he said and pulled it out slightly. Hey presto it paired OK then. Despair was setting in.

How can I program a 4-button Marantec Digital 302 using a 2-button of the same type? The method presented in the video doesn't work. (I want to program the lower button of the 4-channel transmitter, using the 1st button of the "old" transmitter. The new transmitter LED doesn't start flashing, but lights constantly.)

I have found it necessary to bend the remotes backwards slightly while they are plugged into each other, in order for the inner contacts to meet. With the connected remotes facing me, I bend both remotes away from me through an angle of just a couple of degrees each. It is not enough pressure to put a permanent bend into the connecting pins, but just enough so that I can feel the springback tendency of the connecting pins. Holding the remotes in this position, I proceed with the transfer as directed by the video. I learned this bending step from another video here, but it was in a foreign language.

My program connector tongs are longer and I cannot push the connector into the transmitter allowing the black plastic on the connector to stop against the transmitter. I tried programming and the receiving transmitter light doesn’t flash or pick up the code from the sending transmitter.

I haven't seen one video on the Internet on how to program a brand-new one of these if you don't have an old one because it was lost. Is there any information on how to program a new one alone?
