The Programme Treatment Unit (PTU) at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children opened in May this year, and has treated over 2000 children since opening. This unit is so important because it gives children the treatment they need and allows them to go home to their families that same day, rather than having to stay in hospital.
