Canon R5, RF 24-70 2.8, Profoto A1… photos look like a disposable camera…
You can't expect a good outcome when the person shooting the photos to demonstrate how good the flash is starts off by saying he's short on time. Then he was talking and moving so quickly that I began feeling anxious watching this video. And....the photos were not good quality, which is what you would expect from a rushed "photo shoot". Not a good representation of this Profoto flash, and as others mentioned earlier, I too have been reading that that $1,000 light falls out of the softbox. I'm not a Profoto basher. I own several B10s and an A1X. My only complaint (other than the prices) is the pins on the A1X (Sony) hot shoe. They get bent very easily, making the flash inoperable when mounted on the camera's hot shoe. I have to send mine away for service after very little use.
Yeah I’m not dropping $1000 for a light that small 🤣🤣🤣
I have the A2 and the Clic Softbox. I took it to my recent trip to The Philippines. It performed flawlessly. I have videos on my channel.
Most situations did not require flash at all imo - the light could be narrowed in a postprocess easily. I know that it was mostly about the product presentation, but most of the photos were really poor, harsh light. Of course the reason most probably being is a small, shallow softbox. We can't obey the physics :-) I don't bash Profoto here - we do own A1 and B10. But for quite some time I have also assisted during the weddings using Elinchrom ELB400 + Deep Octa 100cm - the results would be a night and day .... mostly because of the softbox quality ....
Which flash would you recommend A2 or A10?
How does the film camera connect to the flash? Thanks in advance.
Will this work with film cameras such as Mamiya 7ii?
Its just not powerful enough. It needs to be at least 200W to use a softbox. I use 250w B10s all the time and wish they were even smaller but its just physics i guess. I would buy a A2 if they bring out a 200W version.
If money were the secondary concern to portability for street and evening event portraiture and possibly video content, would you prefer the A2 or B10X+?
This is amazing. Is the canon 1v work flawlessly with the Profoto connect pro ttl?
Do you know what CTO strength you used for the outdoors shoot? Looks great but am unfortunately not able to tell from the video.
The light that comes out of all profoto lights is beautiful but these A2’s are a POOR effort, they are not strong enough, the Godox 100 is almost 2 times as powerful the A10 is more powerful, They fall out if the soft box and to NOT TELL YOUR AUDIENCE THAT IS SAD…
thanks for the review!
Does it work with the wireless button free trigger?
What about the comments I’m seeing where it’s stated that the A1 has greater flash output than the A2?
What is the price
Those photos were absolutely garbage. I’m completely turned off from the product if this is what it produces
Instead of 'room on your bag' he said "real estate in your bag"! why why whyyyyyy. this American type KZreadr speak is very annoying!!
