(undergrad physics student just now stepping into quantum, so take this with a grain of salt) having just gotten into the weirder world of physics, I can tell you that past a certain point it is really, really difficult to communicate these concepts with people who haven't had the same background of education in the subject as you have, there's just so much context they don't have that is essential to getting it
