I don't know about you, but to me, the idea of segregated dorms, segregated classes, and segregated graduations is sounding better and better.

If being white gives you so many privileges, why didn't a single biracial person in this video exclaim their whiteness with such intensity as they proclaimed their non whiteness? Seems to depend what you look like a lot. My friend is half and looks black but I told him I still think of him as white as well. He appreciated it because he likes his white half too but most don’t see him that way. You’re totally right though, it’s not THAT great to be white, if it was they would try and play it up.

My wife is mixed, and she's pretty upfront with how much more she gets from her non white heritage than she does from her white heritage. In the neighborhoods I grew up in, public housing, admitting you had white in you would probably get your butt kicked worse than if you were actually fully white.

In order to have a government sure, but an anthem? To me this feels like a free speech issue. I don't think anyone should be forced to say the national anthem, if you want to make a second, third, or nineteenth anthem so long as you do it legit through congress or however it is supposed to be done if it is going to be official, and so long as I am not forced or compelled to say any new one against my will, and if no one is preventing me from singing whatever dumb national song i want to, I don't see any problem with this. some states have two state flowers or whatever other dumb thing.

I hate the fact that Lift Every Voice & Sing was introduced to the general public in such a toxic political climate. LEVAS was written in 1899 by James Weldon-Johnson. Music was added by his brother a year later. The point of the poem was to honor Lincoln, as he's the one credited for ending slavery. In 1919, the nickname Black National Anthem was added to the song as a rallying cry after what is known as the red summer. A Summer that saw many black people hanged and lynched and several race riots. People need to understand the song is called Lift EVERY Voice and Sing. It's a testament to how much this country has overcome.

I bet all those who were in favor of black only dorms would be against white only dorms just because... double standards.

It’s not a good thing. The whole purpose of this was a thought experiment to get these young people to think about what they are promoting. Separate national anthems, separate dormitories, separate drinking fountains. Up until about 20 years ago we were striving to make everyone judge each other based on our character and not the color of our skin. That has been turned on its head and it’s completely contradictory and is actually going backwards to the days when we did have segregated schools and drinking fountains. That’s the whole point.

That sounds oxymoronic, a national anthem is defined by a song geared at a select group, a nation. I get your point, but your country is defined by it's individual freedoms, a group of people deciding on their own national anthem seems within their rights or are you some sort of European socialist group without defined constitutional freedoms? As someone who grew up in the 70s and 80s, we were always taught it does not matter what the outside looks like, it's just skin. Inside we are all the same. I feel like our generation came a long way away from racism and it breaks my heart to see the segregation; what is becoming more and more the push to "normalize" the separation of all races. How did this all become ok? While living in a bastion of liberalism - Seattle - I have been screamed out by young school kids the moment I opened my mouth and a southern drawl spilled out. I was called all kinds of nasty things that shocked me because I was there with a Scouting program, invited by the Christian school, and staff just stood there and smiled while the hatred poured out of these kids. Absolutely breaks my heart. I find it hopeful when I see young people such as yourself who are surprised that people don't understand how these kinds of movements are actually tearing us apart as a nation, that it goes against absolutely everything we were teaching even our kids born in the 90s.

I totally agree with you. I was born in 1968 and was in the Army for 8+ years. I was a Russian Linguist and stationed in several northern states. It was not until the early 90s that I started having young people started screaming as soon as they heard my southern drawl. As I got older, I have lived in Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Arkansas and New Jersey. The kids in the southern (Texas, NC, Fl & Arkansas) never disrespected just because I was speaking. Arizona, Minnesota and NJ were horrible. NJ was last state before moving back to Arkansas about 8 years ago and it was horrible. Young people were so disrespectful there and assumed a lot about me without even knowing me. This included clerks at stores. One clerk at a Target started cursing at me and called me a Red state southern hillbilly with no common sense when I was checking out. This was totally because I had my wife there and asked her if we had gotten everything. The clerk started with "don't you have enough sense to know whether you have everything? Oh, never mind you are a Red state southern hillbilly with no common sense." I just could not believe it. I said something to a manager and the manager just said "ok."

That is so messed up. I have said this for a long time we all live in America together so we should all have the same opportunities as Americans. I’ve always also said applications should not ask for your race. You should ask if your American or not that’s it. What does it matter if I am any color but American that is the only color I am.

The messed up part of this is they all have good intentions, they’ve just been brainwashed into thinking certain views are the acceptable “good” views to have. I’d be willing to be that they would all answer differently if you asked them in five years.

The president of Ghana offered all black Americans who considered himself to be African-American to have full citizenship in his country provided they moved there permanently and renounce their American citizenship.

Hopefully news of this gets out. If someone were to put a little twist, like benefits and free gibs on the end of that it could work. Maybe even work in all that KANG stuff, a whole bunch of black power and black pride, tell em they did something in history that another race actually did, they LOOOOVVVVEEE that. The offer on its own, yeah, they'll never give up welfare checks and priority status they have here. But with a little work, leverage that ego problem they've got and I see potential.

There is a very simple "is it racist" test that these students should try. For any of the policies they want to implement (even if it's for what they view as "empowerment" or "community building"), they should ask themselves if it's racist if they do the same thing for white people. I guarantee that they would flip out about it if someone was trying to do that, and when confronted about how they're being hypocrites, would deflect or immediately start moving goalposts and changing definitions

We should have a national anthem for every people group.... 17,446 is the estimate..... These anthems should be performed at every event where the national anthem is performed or said (I live in the town the national anthem was written, by Francis Bellamy, in Mount Morris NY). At 2 minutes per anthem, each event would last roughly 23 days of anthems to cover all people groups equally. This would be fair.

JoJo I am so glad your dad, Van, introduced me to your channel. I have been following him for a while. I am an attorney. I noticed a problem in the legal system. A lot of people try to say it is a racist thing and black people get harsher sentences. I personally, from experience, believe it is more of a class thing. Poor white people get the same length sentence as black people. Rich black people get similar sentences to rich white people. It is determined by whether you can afford an attorney. Now when it comes to Federal Court, it does not matter. Rich, poor, black or white, everyone gets a long sentence. I was born in 1968. I never saw segregation. My parents saw "colored only" water fountains, movie theaters and other colored only spaces and things. I feel as though we are going back in time.
