So which end of the cable is the load side? Cable clamps have 4 parts, the U-bolt, the saddle and 2 nuts. The saddle is designed for the load side and the U-bolt goes on the "dead" side. Easy to remember, you never saddle a "dead" horse.

Never use wire rope clips for overhead lifting and especially don’t use mailable clips.

Should be AT LEAST double u-bolts~ WITH double or lock nuts. Power equipment does no good otherwise

На работе видел участок по вязке тросов. Из тросов изготовляли стропы. Трос расплетали и заплетали в кольцо. Надёжность 100%

When I worked on a anchor crew we did this all by hand and no machine, just a impact drill, hand strength.

I feel like if you start the nut first it would be quicker.
