I have a few questions. 1. Is this a recent update as since the twitch app went to view only I haven’t seen anything about setting destination on the integrated twitch streaming on Xbox? 2. Will this be available on old gen consoles or is it just for the series x/s?

To answer your first question: This is indeed a recent update. We do have an updated tutorial that explains how to go live on Twitch after the recent Xbox OS Update: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWqmktqTgtCTfdI.html For your second question: We are not sure if this OS update has been applied to the older generation consoles, that is a question for Xbox 💚

Question in regards to resolution. Console only pushes 30fps? So should I upgrade to 1080p30fps over what I have now 720p60fps? Any big difference?

Most people will watch your stream on a phone which is only 720 so it’s fine my man it’s what I use hope that helps

Correct the Xbox is limited to 30 fps so you'll want to use 1080p30 or 720p30 depending on the resolution you'd like to broadcast in

can i do this all on my phone or is it absolutely necessary to have a laptop or pc

Desktop is necessary for setting up your project! You can use the mobile remote to control your scenes after that but initial set up must be done from a desktop. Reach out to our support team if you have any other questions!

how do i sign out of the twitch account?

Where do I run light stream ?? As the only place I seem to do it is my Internet browser on Xbox ? And it keeps disconnected when I play games

Xbox browsers are not one of our supported methods of accessing Lightstream studio, Lightstream is optimised for Chrome. Our officially supported desktop web browsers are Chrome (57+), Firefox (42+), Edge (4+), and Brave (0.23.19+).

The twitch app can no longer be used to broadcast as of the recent Xbox OS update; they have converted it to a Viewer-only experience. If you are somehow still able to broadcast via the Twitch app, this may indicate that you still need to update your Xbox OS. We hope this answers your question!

@@GoLightstream I tried to start streaming from the panel twice last night and each stream ended after less than 30 seconds. I was able to start from the Twitch app Broadcast tab just fine. Checked Xbox when I first booted up and it said it was up to date. 🤨

Launch your broadcast before your gameplay and that should resolve it! Reach out to our support team if you're still running into trouble after that.

You might want to note that the Guide Broadcast option keeps kicking people off their streams, I am one of them and its driving me crazy! If you still have Twitch in app Broadcast option available people, do not let the Twitch app update to the latest version, turn off auto updates... the Guide method isnt fit for purpose, especially of your wanting to stream for more than an hour

I tried streaming today and the stream ended after a few seconds. Was there a problem on your side? Because after that I streamed WITHOUT lighstream (just twitch) and it worked fine for 4 hours straight.

My girl has been able to stream for 2 hours and 27 minutes a few times before getting kicked, but more recently its maybe 1 minute and then it kicks her. She can stream straight to Twitch from Xbox but not using Lightstream... almost feels like a waste of money at this point... We were super glad to not need a capture card, but maybe we'll just go that route to get something that works

The chat feature you are mentioning is a feature offered exclusively by Playstation. Unfortunately at this time Xbox does not have a local chat feature like this available for their users. We hope this answers your question 💚

I have been using LightStream for months before this terrible godawful Xbox update and twitch app update if you go check my streams, I've used it in every video. The fact that it now doesn't work completely is why I am giving up on console streaming and console gaming in general. A pure cash grab experience on all levels I'm not sure why it suddenly stopped working but I refuse to pay for LightStream and BE FORCED TO ONLY STREAM TO TWITCH W/O MY CUSTOM OVERLAY THAT I PAID FOR. My viewers see my overlay and they click, clean and simple I have referred this service to hundreds of people that I know in real and have had to tell them to cancel you their service plans because it doesn't work at all for them now. This isn't just 20 people this is literally by the HUNDREDS we all feel like we got played and wasted our time promoting this service and using it in our streams only for it to have troubles with every Xbox update. It is pathetic that in 2022 going into 2023 a connection from one service to another feels already obsolete in a space where console streaming is just now getting its just due. I can only pray this is getting looked into IMMEDIATELY because you've lost hundreds of buyers along with potential buyers. I love this idea of the service but if it isn't stable then why am I paying for it? If you want to see my Overlay my Twitch is *averycyere*. I had to stop streaming for almost 20+DAYS. THE OVERLAY IS WHY I EVEN PAID FOR THIS PARTICULAR SERVICE OVER OTHER COMPETITORS. I have contacted Xbox support and they've told me on 4 occasions that the error is not coming from their end of the service. I have gotten in contact with LightStream support, and no help was given, I'm not sure if someone else with more power in the company can help but I would like to speak w/them. Again, the IDEA of this service is great, and I can see it becoming a serious staple within the console streaming era but with terrible issues like this, that future may look just as dull as a plain black and white image.

Our team are aware of an Xbox bug that causes your console to fail to send us your feed and then cancel the stream before it can reach us. Our team have done all we can on our end but unfortunately there's limited progress we can make on a console side issue. Yeah guys this reply just isn’t gonna cut it. I’m having the same issue and you guys KNOW this is a common issue am still have no problem taking money? Where is the update? You want us to troubleshoot something you know only you can fix. I pray no legal action befalls you guys even though you definitely deserve it
