Professional Transitions During Live Rounds

Спорт

The process continues! Now we're in good enough shape to start hitting those transitions and timing windows. I still can't really let the throttle completely loose yet, not while on this sub 1000 calorie per day diet. One more month of dieting, then its all cardio all the time. Then we take over the world.
This is the second half of the class I taught at Terra heute, Indiana, at my friend Chad Hawkin's School. Check out the first part here

-----Things we are currently looking into to improve-----
Audio Quality - Mics, possibly better camera
Timestamps each video with hyperlinks
The Outtro audio only playing through one ear on a headset
My shitty Jiujitsu
Gimble for steadier recording?
Thumbnail skills are currently a work in progress
We're revamping the patreon and working on a better system between us for getting videos posted there early. Events, merchandise, narration, ect all being added.
Throw me any tips you have about really reaching more people with the channel. More Reach = More people learning good shit = Better Jiujitsu all over
------------------------------
While I do have free technique videos available on this channel, the difference in detail and structure between a free/short youtube video and a six hour instructional is significant. If you want to follow up and learn more, we have a plethora of insanely detailed and structured instructionals on BJJ Fanatics. You can go to BJJFanatics.com and search Andrew Wiltse, or follow the link below.
bjjfanatics.com/search?q=Andrew%20wiltse
If you want to see more content like this, along with other things like pictures, flyers for seminars, smaller clips, random hood rat stuff, ect, check out my Instagram. It is by far the easiest way to get ahold of me outside of messaging me on patreon.

If you just have too much money in your life and want to throw some away to some questionable causes (Panda Express Daily??) You can look at Me and Birds personal Patreon.

If you want to see some actual high quality videos and documentary type stuff, check out the Pedigo Submission Fighting KZread. I don't have too much involvement in making those videos, but They do a pretty fantastic job with the production quality and editing.

The first roll, hands down, my favorite. The guy was visibly a skilled, legitimate opponent, and seeing Wiltse deal with what was in front of him speaks to Wiltse's level experience and comprehension of the Art. As always, fun to watch, and I took a lot of notes. Thanks for posting, guys.

Is X guard one of your favorite positions? I've seen a few videos now where when you are on bottom you instantly try to obtain X guard and then sweep from there. We are learning X guard now at my gym and I have to say I freaking love it.

Newb question but how do you prevent your opponent from bridging you over when you transition from side control to knee on belly to mount? Is it simply just a matter of making sure you don't have too much weight forward as you transition?

  • @WiltseBrothers

This is a weight cut I have done before. I did talk to a doctor about it this time. She spent some time touching up on recent science behind rapid weight loss and gave me the Go Ahead, then gave me some signs to watch out for health wise. My diet is --- One meal per day training day. Normally at night after training. That meal consists of Half a plate of steamed broccoli and asparagus, 150-200 calories of fried rice, one baked chicken leg, and one baked chicken quarter. Light, low calorie BBQ sauce sprinkled. Maybe a protein shake after workouts (150 calorie, possibly twice per day) Zero calories on Friday or Saturday. So a 48 hour fast every weekend. Training for 4-6 hours a day on Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday. 3 ish hours on Sunday. So very very low calorie intake while bumping my TDEE up by a shitload. Very quick weight loss.
