it’s so fitting that the chicken-mushroom skewers are dish’s favorite since the specialty variant is kaeya’s (fruity skewers)!!

When the chef said “I can’t even handle hot Cheetos” she literally became my idol like that’s real low key real

Maybe for a future "Baking with Jake" video, you could hire a pro baker (chef?) to make the birthday cakes we players get every year, but the cake flavors reflect the region they're from? Great video!

I first discovered this by watching the genshin gourmet tour video (which is v cool btw! seeing the presentation & cooking process is so immersive bcs you get to see how it'd look like if those dishes were made traditionally like in genshin). it's cute how they both seem fond of osmanthus

Fun fact mora meat is actually a traditional Chinese food called rou jia mo 肉夹馍, it isn’t just meat with two buns, its like meat, and veggies in between two buns(not really) they’re like, crunchy and flaky with a lot of layers, I love it so much

If we made Fisherman's toast German accurate, it would have been "Mettbrot". Bread with minced, quality, raw pork with onions, salt and pepper & topped with onions. Yes, in Germany there is special quality pork that can be consumed raw, it's very popular and no one has gotten sick from it. Edit: Also bring this amazing chef again, please! This time Sumeru & Fontaine dishes :D

The reason chop suey is so different is because it comes from the word for leftovers. And in the US, people loved the dish so much that they made it a significant thing while in China, it tends to just be beef or chicken innards stewed because they were leftovers from the actual meat dishes

Chef Krissey is so nice and sweet. I felt how good the food was even just for watching. I love how y’all savor the food and your expression towards it. Dish’s reaction was so wholesome and such a huge compliment for a chef I think. i was emotional as well as an avid genshin player. I’m gonna make my own almond tofu at home since it’s kinda easy for me 🫶🏻

When I first found Almond Tofu in-game, I was confused by the ingredients. I remembered telling my friend how it’s funny that a dish called “almond tofu” didn’t have tofu in the ingredients 😂 I later researched the dish and realised it’s made from almond and it’s basically jelly. Though tofu as a dessert is a thing! Especially in SEA, where we serve it with syrup (Malaysia, Singapore) and jellies (Philippines). Love the video! Chef Kryssie did so well with the dishes. All of them look amazing!

For the almond tofu, for Chinese we do eat tofu as a dessert, but while making it we add in sugar so it’s sweet tofu instead
