Been watching videos on your channel. I want to thank you for all the informative reviews and technique advice. I managed to cast my first set of rings with absolutely no issues following your advice and going through all your reviews. Normally im not a stranger to trial and error but its very motivating to have a time in my life to have it right the first time. anyways again thanks for all the videos you produce its an amazing amount of help to us all.

Yeah thats peopoly,s niche they are the large resin formate kings. I have the peopoly phenom and been running it nonstop night and day for 2 years and im in love with this machine it gives me great results evey time . And the ease of use is mind blowing it allows me to be a sculptor with no sweat . I allways sing the praises about peopoly when ever possibile . I dont know why more people dont buy their brand . I feel the other brands are junk compared to peopoly thats my heart felt opinion . I pray you continued success with the peopoly forge . The peopoly customer service is awesome as well if ever needed. Happy creating............

Nice review! Do you know if it has a glass screen protector for the lcd?

If you have a medium size 8k printer, do you notice a big drop off in details with the forge? I was just curious on the details with 10' 8k printer vs 6k 13" lcd. Thanks for the review.

The pixel density on a Saturn 2 for example comes out to 28.5 micron, which logically should be almost double the print quality. But in my opinion 8k is a bit overhyped and only certain kinds of models will benefit from it like extremely high poly busts and models that are curve heavy. There isn’t a big enough drop in print quality between 28.5 and 50 pixel density for me to feel like I’m missing out.

@@ClearMindJewellery Thank you, I have a Saturn 2 I’m going to set up. I was debating about buying another for figure models, but the forge had looked really good, but no one has done a review until you did. If the drop off isn’t that huge, I rather have a bigger build plate. Thanks for the input.

For perspective... what size flange do those ring trees fit in? Calculated cubic volume = grams of metal? When casting do you melt the metal separately or do you melt the total amount for all trees at once? Seems safer to calculate the amount to use for each tree and only melt what is needed for that tree so that too much metal doesn't fly out of the crucible by accident. Am I correct?

The trees fit in a 4x6". We use a metal density equation, so the weight of the tree in wax or resin multiplied by the metals density, (bronze is 8.8, sterling is 10.36). When doing 4 trees at once waiting for the metal to melt for each is time we'd prefer back, so we melt enough for at least 2 flasks at a time if not more depending on total flask weights. If you fill the crucible to its maximum for any given metal it can cause sloshing when you pour.

Thanks for the review! How it compares to Prusa SL1S in terms of print success rate? I’ve tried anycubic m3 premium, a large format printer, and I couldn’t make it print models supported for sl1s without breaking even on slowest settings. I’m now a little bit sceptical about printers without tilting bed

TLDR, the Forge has awesome tools and controls which make printing on it very reliable. It isn't as quick as the SL1S but that's purely due to the mechanism. We've had great print success with the Forge, True Blue printed great on the 3rd try, Asiga Supercast S, Nova3D Water Washable, Monocle BigVat, Siraya Fast and Build all printed great on the first try. Unlike any Chitu system I know of, or the SL1S, Vlare has support for variable support exposure time, so you can overexpose the supports only and make sure they're strong. Vlare also give very in-depth control over lift speeds, acceleration, etc. We're going to do another video about Vlare capabilities, if we had covered that in this video it would have been double the length.

@@ClearMindJewellery How would you compare the print quality / resolution to the SL1S? Both have 50 microns on the XY, but is the Forge as crisp as the SL1S?

I just got the forge myself and this printer is quick and quiet . Im using the vlare slicer still trying to get use to it i wish chitubox supported it thats the slicer lm more comfortable with after 3 years. Is the camera plug and play or is there anything else to hook up to it there is a cord with a white plug i dont know where it goes i need help if you have time thanks. Happy creating.........

Can the printer make models from castable wax? I did not see any for sale on the web page.

Peopoly doesn't have a lot of resins as Siraya Tech, their sister company, makes a variety of them. Including True Blue and Cast, both of which are castable. The blue rings in this video were done in True Blue.

For anyone starting, many 3D resins are massively overpriced and the printers are still stressfully finnicky. These KZreadrs make it seem easy and perfect every time but trust me, it's messy and a total pain in the a$$. Replacement screens are also still overpriced and a nightmare to replace. You'll only know it's died when your expensive prints have giant holes in them. Things get especially dodgy when you look at the screen life specs and all the company will say is "Excellent" instead of how many hours it'll approximately last.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts bro . I have been getting similar vibes from all these youtubers getting free stuff all the time and somehow they always make video about those stuff. But notice one thing in those videos. They won't criticize the company which give them free stuff. They knowingly or unknowingly get biased and then the new comers like me who wants to enter this field feels confused and betrayed.

Not sure how everyone else on KZread makes their money but 99% of our business income is from actual casting based activities. A free printer or even a sponsorship spot isn't worth pretending a shitty product is good, as per our Jupiter, Alphasene, and countless other review videos. If your printer isn't working for you that sucks. If you want to chat about it we can try to help.
