PRODUCTION CALENDAR TUTORIAL - HOW TO MAKE A GANTT CHART
StudioBinder’s Production Calendar solution is designed to give any project structure and efficiency. Using a Gantt chart, you’ll be able to lay your entire project onto a timeline to ensure the process is thorough and timely. This Gantt chart tutorial series will walk you through the step-by-step process of creating and managing your ideal production calendar.
In this first episode, we begin with creating calendars and events.
First, create a new calendar for your project using either a blank calendar or one of our preset templates. Later in this series, we’ll cover how to create your own Gantt chart template. You’ll see rows for any elements you want to include in your calendar on the left sidebar.
To create an event, click on the desired row and drag to the right to set the duration. These events can be customized with names, assignable tasks, attachments, and comments. Once the event is created, it can always be modified.
In the next episode, we will dive into how to modify these calendar events in your Gantt chart.
No matter what your project entails, having all the necessary information laid out in a bird’s-eye-view will help ensure its successful completion. As we will see in this Production Calendar tutorial series, once you grasp the power of a Gantt chart, you’ll never do another project without one.
