Havent tried these yet, but I used the ruckus for a couple years and now have been using the rumble for about a year. They can have connectivity issues when the charge gets less than half, and they only last a month or two before something breaks, but I have never had a problem with elgin or amazon replacing them with warranty. They are about the best quality noise isolating esrbuds out there but they dont hold up very long to my use. I do wear them almost 24/7 for sleep, work, farm chores, and motorcycle commute.

I've been super happy with these. Like you, I've used them in the shop, tending to chores, sleeping at large family vacations. Comfortable, great sound, and the charge lasts forever! Likely getting a pair for my wife soon as her old buds are failing.

I've used the ruckus at work for 2 years. Not my job doesn't allow OSHA headphones. So I grabbed some hardhat muffs (supplies at work) and stuffing these in to hide them 😁🤞

I really do like them, and I'm not going to plug a product I don't believe in (I've turned down a few requests actually) -- Back in the day I built a system that A) shattered the rear window in my car, and was audible a 1/2 mile away, and B) build a system where you physically felt like vomiting from the bass hits from the trunk. :)

They have some connection issues from time to time and if I cup one in my hand the one in my ear cuts out. They are way hardy though I dropped one at work and someone stepped on it with steel toe boots it’s still working fine no damage also I was using them in the shower and all of the sudden one falls out and goes down the drain I dug it out the next day cleaned it and it works fine

Awesome to hear. Mine are still working flawlessly. Wet, dropped, sweat on, multiple cleanings from metal dust clinging to the buds.. Sound quality is still fantastic!

Just got these in the mail today and love the sound and quality... The only issue is 1 only works at a time. I paired them on and off 4 times and the left or right grabbed them Bluetooth. I can NOT get them to pair both at once. Nothing online.. I'll figure it out eventually

Interesting! I've had to do a reset on mine a time or two, but often because I want to pair it to a second device (which means dropping the pairing for the 1st device. Hope you get it figured out, if nothing else reach out to their support, they were quite helpful for me.

Did you turn them both on? I didn’t when I initially bought them. I figured turning one on, they would both turn on.

A year later... Do they stand up to your review?

Yes for sure. I use these still frequently in the skid-loader, or when using air tools in the shop. The case has been dropped, had stuff stacked on it, and he's held up without issue. The audio is still clear and crisp and battery life is solid.

The RODE Go Wireless. It's been around for a few years and taken some beatings, but still works!

Hearing damage occurs with "high-level" noise, like being locked in a barn with The Headpins.

Great as an earplugs operating heavy equipment. Not great each ear piece sync, can't walk with the phone in breast pocket with out loosing signal, need to remove both pieces out of the charger at the exact same time or one or the other will not link up.

Interesting you're having these issues. My phone is often in my shirt pocket, or back pocket, or sometimes in the bobcat 200' away and I still have a clear signal. I've got an S21 Ultra, but did notice some issues with my older phone with connectivity. (as a whole, BT on my old phone was wonky)

@@DachsAutosI didn't mention before the earbuds will cut out if I turn my head quickly. these are the third pair with the same issues. I did contact Elgin and they offer no help but to exchange the earbuds. I'm using an S9 and will be receiving an S23 Ultra on the release day. Hopefully that will clear up the issues. Great review.

@@mikehunt5934 Hopefully. I came from the S10 platform. My Plantronics earpiece would cut out, sound horrible, my old buds also were flaky with the same issues you described. My Rebels have been great. The only issue I'll say I've had was repairing them once I unpaired and connected them to my PC. I don't have any complaints otherwise.

All of the osha certified ones are going to be quiet, because they are trying to reduce the ceiling of volume you're exposed to.

They work great for me, I haven't noticed an issue with not being loud enough. Just had them on in the shop and bobcat this weekend. I still need to be able to hear random noises like alarms or someone yelling at me, so in my setting, they are 100% perfect for cutting down the levels while allowing spikes in.

The sound is definitely muffled they’re way better for rap then rock/metal though and I’m a metal guy so I just use my AirPod pro gen 2 I don’t need all that bass

@@cjsomething4995 take both out of the case. push the center button 3 times on each earbud within 5 seconds. This is from manufacturer. works 9 out of 10 times.
