The older I get, the more nostalgic this song makes me feel 🥲

Noel cabangon is actually a professor of humanities subject (at least used to be) that is why most of his songs are about human consciousness. I think he is part of those generation of Filipino musicians that have that Folk/Culture theme. Along with Grace Nono, Joey Ayala, APO hiking society etc.... Their type of music is really good for the soul. So if you are feeling down, troubled and depressed I recommend these songs. Kanlungan is one of our all time favorite songs when I was in college.

The lyrics in Filipino are actually more poetic than the english translation. The english reads flatter but if you understand Filipino this song is incredibly lyrical

Wait a Little While by Kenny Loggins is what come to mind now. Noel Cabangon is always present in fundraising concerts. Always relevant. Has good advocacies.

This song brings sooo much memories from my childhood..... damn....

That is pure Filipino, high Tagalog. The beauty of poetry in pure Filipino is indescribable. It's like listening to God or an eternal talking to you intimately. I am a pure Han Chinese born in the Philippines and this taglish crap that locals speak daily is just sad to me. We have one of the most beautiful and romantic language in the world and we choose toilet speak.

Same feeling here. Loggins is imbeded in the Philippines' 80's music. "Footloose" and "Poo's corner" are two of Kenny's most popular songs.

Basil Valdez is a much Grander Pinoy vocal. Pilita Corales - Spanish song covers in the 70's. Florante- pinoy folk. Asin - pinoy folk band. Earaser heads - pinoy rock, as well as "Rockstar" whose vocalist is EZ Mil's father.. Filipinos listen to conches every time they find one of good size by the shore during a calm low tide sunset. . . .or singing their heart out under the wings of every storm. . .😊 Late 80's ang early 90's rapper - Andrew E.🫠. . .atbp.😁

I have a core memory of listening to the radio after midnight in my room back in college, and the station played this song. As a kid this song (more than 10years old at the time) evoked feelings for a nebulous future me. It hits different now that I’ve lived partway through that nebulous future. The song became much more famous years later when it was used in a McDonald’s tv ad, which I’m really happy for because this really is a great song that deserves the love. Noel was part of Buklod, the band that recorded this song. He eventually became popular as a solo act. His voice will forever be attached to this song, but I saw his bandmates perform it (also back in college) and they didn’t sound that much different either.

The amount of poetry in this is commendable❤ Everytime I hear this song, it makes me think of evry word it speaks in the lyrics and sad at the same time because of the reality that we really cannot bring the past back🥺 ughh this is so nostalgic. Noel Cabangon: underrated but a legend. His music is not commercialized in a way that he is mainstream but many singers go to his workshop to learn songwriting. We look up to singers that look up to him.

I'm not so sure but I think they need to insert those "WISH 107.5" in the song itself, not before, not after, and that's for legal reasons. No amount of complains and rolling of eyes from you guys would make Wish change if pleasing you means Wish would be facing legal issues. And I watch so many reaction videos from various channels but why is it that it's only the two of you complain about it? Remember, KZread videos can also end up in YT Music, and Wish is just a Radio Station, not a distributor. I remember before, the Wish channel received a copyright strike from KZread because songs like "Secret Love Song" didn't like the fact that Wish posted a cover better and more popular than the original. The Wish channel was down for a long time, and Wish needed to strike deals with labels to get the channel back up again on KZread and that took a long time. And many magnificent covers were removed from Wish. Thankfully some users were able to download them before they were deleted and reposted in various fan channels so we can watch them still. But many videos were gone for good. I know you're new on Wish so you probably didn't know that piece of history. But please, I'm getting tired of seeing you roll your eyes. Just accept the fact that some things just can't be changed.

This song always makes me sad and feel nostalgic. That every string note just keeps on getting into the very core of my soul. Remembering the happiness and innocence we used to have when we were a child.

They do that for copyright. So you don’t download and convert the song to an mp3. The old wish Channel used to place the logo voice in the very beginning but they got shut down for copyright so the new wish YT had to put that at the beginning of the first lyric to not get block.
