Wow, he's one of our iconic male singers, you should have heard him sing in his prime. He had throat cancer, a survivor, but he can still pull it off. His voice is so dynamic. His songs were always used as movie soundtracks. He was one of the members of the Circus Band during the 70s and all of them became famous as solo artists in the 80s thru 90s. They were there before Regine V,.Martin Nievera and Gary V became famous. If only you can dig deeper in our Music industry, so much to discover👌👍😊

This guy is even more OG than Gary V and Martin N. He’s been around since the 70s. You should hear him during his heyday. He is a member of the Circus band. All the singers in that band became famous and are all a big influence to the new breed of OPM singers.

Basil Valdez is one of our Best Singers in His younger days....He is quite old now but still sounds great ....and He has an illness now....and He is 71 yrs old and can still sing like that 😘He is a devoted Christian too 🙏

You should listen to this song in his heyday. Man, love him.

If you hear him in his prime, this song is just wow. The lyrics will cut you deep man, so many songs about love but this unending love in beautiful tagalog is heart-wrenchingly beautiful to me. Yes, this piece was always a winning song in different singing contest both local and national in the 80s and 90s all over the Philippines. At the age of 71 yrs old I'm amazed he can still sustain the notes. This was his original song released in 1977 and it has been sang in thousands of weddings. from bridal march to the couples first dance.

My passport as a young singer along the Roxas blvd nicht club strip was his version of Corner of the Sky (Pippin) in the mid-80s. He was my north star as a singer. And for someone who had throat cancer, he sings pretty well. He was an icon who started the OPM Classics in the 70s along with Rico J Puno. His songs were popularized by Regine and other singers.

They do have pop rocks usually it on a grocery that carries a lot of international stuff. Like the grocery market next to santuario de san antonio church in the forbes park area. They also might have it on cash and carry.

He has an English song "YOU", a light and heart-warming song which used to be the love theme song of many couples during my youth. I'm 63 now, so that was 45 years ago.
