Between the options of "Energetic" and "Burn It Up" I'm so happy people voted for Energetic (which was co-composed by Pentagon's Hui & Wooseok I must say)! I felt like Burn It Up was such a typical song and that Energetic is more unique, I feet like it suits the guys image more! I personally love the song! Having cried for some of these boys I'm so happy they got to debut, and with a pretty decent song too!! The choreo is also super nice!! Love your reactions PD!!

SatanOverFlowers i personally like Burn It Up better just because based on the teaser i knew the choreo was gonna be AMAZING and it is i must say and i'm such a sucker for good choreo, i mean Energetic's choreo is also amazing but I also love Energetic because it's such a unique song, and not just basic *okay time to shut up nobody asked for my opinion 😂*

Well because Burn It Up is produced by YG producers. So it sounds more kinda one of kind but yeah this song suits them more
The guy you said looks familiar is Kang Daniel, the winner/center of pd101. He is literally everywhere thats why he looks familiar.

Finally I found someone who praised/at least noticed Woojin's rapping voice. His tone of voice is really nice and actually he raps well, it just isn't showcased well through this song. Every one gets quiet during Woojin's part when it actually is really nice. Woojin is the one you praised for having a nice rapping voice anyway.
Im so glad they chose Energetic as their debut song. Not that Burn It Up is a bad song its just i think Energetic has a better sound for a debut. IF THAT MAKES SENSE IDK . Also im really loving these Producer reactions!!!

I love the way you analyze both music and the cinematography from a professional point of view and don't just scream incoherent things like most of reactors do. Thank you for each one of your reactions and I'll look forward to your future ones, you can bet on it ★

+Rain well that's too much praise. Now there's no where else to go but down
After listening to all of hui's productions, I can tell that he likes smother choruses which is exactly the opposite of a typical boy group songs.. I don't know if it was a coincidence or it was originally and especially made for wanna one but the distribution of lines and their voices matched every part perfectly. All I thought of is that hui really knows how to make a smooth song a pop. Although he didn't produce that many titles tracks but you can surely distinguish which is huis, he already has his own style which is a huge thing for a rookie group leader! I can't wait for his appearance in the upcoming producing show with huge producers it's really amazing that he's already involved in big shows like this.
I like this debut. Played it very safe aligning themselves with the whole electronic, dubstep-y vibe that's super popular right now. Made it sound different compared to your typical boy group song where they play up the cute concept first. This feels natural. Agree about the first pre-chorus completely. Felt lacking but once the chorus comes in it's great. I got strong Seventeen vibes when the dance ended feeling as though I watched Very Nice choreo. All in all a much better debut than I was expecting for sure.

Cristina Sanchez I actually like the first pre chorus, the bass play is like a welcoming part to the song, sorta
@cristiewho
7 жыл бұрын
Soloey Solo I see your point as a welcoming, but I feel like since it changed tempo so quick after the intro it would've been nice to have that piano from the beginning played a bit in the background (maybe even have it synthesized and low in volume but still audible) to give it some dimension and then BAM! into that chorus (which with all that added bass and I think synth brass) that's so good!
Honestly I just suscribed for the producer reactions.

I loved it but honestly it just sounds like a pentagon song to me. It's sang exactly like hui especially the chorus!! I almost feel as if I could hear him and the rap sounds exactly like wooseok. I know they produced/wrote it but it almost seems as if it could be a song they were saving for pentagon lol

I really liked this song actually, it's one of my fave debut songs this year. There's something about the chorus that just clicks with me and I'm like dayum this is my shit.
there are so many debut and comeback this month and Wanna One's debut song is actually the one im most impressed with! I didnt even watch Produce 101.

THIS IS THE EXACT COMMENT I WAS LOOKING FOR BC SAME🙂🤷🏼♀️❤️
Personally I really like energetic! You know some songs are just like "oh yea it's nice!" But this for me was "DAMN ITS SO GOOD!!" I was really shocked, I expected it to be more typical but like what you said, it wasn't. Also yes, woojin ugh, his rapping voice. His voice is just PERFECT for rapping. The transitions were great, yes definitely I was shocked myself. Also, I really really love the beat drop I was just amazed by how well it fitted in. Age wise, we have a 91' liner, one 94', two 95' liners, two 96', two 99', one born in 2000 and lastly two in 2001. Jisung ( oldest ) is 26, 27 in Korea while the youngest is 16, 17 in Korea. The age gap is pretty huge so I thought they wouldn't really work really well together but we'll produce 101 really proved me wrong and the song they debuted with ended up really great
Seeing this reaction made me miss them..
*My 2 babies in the thumbnail* Okay now im gonna press it 💖
Woojin is my bias and you just mentioned how much you like his rapping voice ❤️❤️❤️
Hui made the song! So freaking iconic!
It was composed by PENTAGON'S Hui and Wooseok 😂 stan talents stan pentagon stan wannaone 😂😂😂
I feel the same way about the chorus of the song! At first I didnt even realize it was the chorus because for me there wasnt anything in the instrumental that made the part stand out. Overall I love the whole vibe of the song and I'm glad people voted for this song to be their title track.
Been watching a lot of reactions from PD especially EXO, Wanna One and I really appreciate your positive reactions. It’s okay to have negative reactions but positive comments actually helps a lot! Thank you PD.
Man I love watching your reactions for your opinion xD I love it when people comment on the cinematography and the actually production of the song
Producer, watching your videos makes me feel like such a kpop intellectual. I can justify my kpop addiction by watching videos and being like "Ah yes...those transitions. Excellent. Such old-school influences. Wow. I totally know things."

i really really love the style of your reactions. it's just the right mix of excitement and pointing out specific song elements, it's really enjoyable to watch! :D And you're just super cool in general, tbh. I liked this song quite a bit. It's not Never, one of their songs during the show which is my absolute fave, but to me, it's just catchy enough and I'm excited to watch the live stages. And my boy Minhyun got to shine, which is pretty great.

+TinaOe aw thank you! I'm glad you enjoy and that I could make it a pleasant viewing experience!
I feel u, this song is EVERYTHING.
i agree about the ending, it felt like it ended too soon. i didn't watched pd101 either but i'm definitely loving this debut! they're all super cute, specially Minhyun. i might've just got into nu'est because of him, i'm so late 😩
Three are under age, but one will be 18 in November, the oldest is 26 (US age). Also random but wanted to let you know I actually really enjoy your reactions and even more than with others. I really like your personality. you're one of the few people I'll watch stream and even stay up all night to watch.
can you please react to like this by pentagon? hui (ptg member) helped write the lyrics, compose, and arrange energetic! wooseok (another ptg member) helped write lyrics to energetic as well. i'd love to see your take on like this, especially since it's composed/arranged by hui (with flow blow) again and e'dawn, wooseok, and yuto (ptg's rappers) helped write lyrics along with hui. and honestly, if you could react to ptg's new mini "demo_01," that'd be really great??? the members played a really big role in their newest mini and i'd love to hear what you have to say. thank you!!
Keep them solo reactions coming! 😎👍
I love producer reacts :)
watching old videos of u, how much did you really improve🙏🏻
I'm loving producer reacts. I find myself waiting to react along with the songs. I like the song, the dance reminds me of the choreography used reminds me of Seventeen's. Im guessing because the fluidity of it
I think I really like this song! It hypes me up :3 Ahh you really know when to upload... I'm starting upper secondary school (kinda like high school i guess) and know absolutely *nobody* from there I'M SO NERVOUS So thank you for uploading! Loving these producer reactions :3
I really appreciate your reactions because you're very authentic and tell the truth rather than just complementing everything and being insincere. So your compliments mean something. And you always analyse the video in a different way and pick out great details. Also if you do get time, do check out Wanna One bc they have all worked super hard to get to where they are and they're very funny too. If you didn't know, Minhyun is from Nu'est and Sungwoon is from Hotshot but the others were previously just trainees to my knowledge. Jaewhan (the main vocal doing all the impressive notes) is actually an independent trainee so that's even more impressive. Looking forward to seeing more reactions from you!

+Lizzie Boulter well thank you for such a wonderful comment Lizzie! I like your observation that my "compliments mean something" which, now that I think about it, is very much my personality. And I do know some, like with Minhyun!
Hi Pd! Some info for you: The rapper you liked his name is Woojin, he's 1999-liner. The music was made by pentagon's Hui. The group has an extremely wide age range of 10 years; however there are 4 members under the age of 18 who definitely age down the group's vibe. I am a bit worried for the group because it is so diverse in age and ability. Thanks for the reaction as always, I liked your thoughts. I agree that the ending needed something more and think the song was trying to predominantly feature the vocals but ended up sounding hollow as a result.
and the guy you said looks familiar is Kang Daniel. He's the most popular member and ranked #1 in pd101.
They're very young Jisung is 27 (Korean age)
i was super skeptical about the lineup at first but im so happy with this debut
Fun fact: Nu`est was on PD101 and only Minhyun made it into the top 11. Also Sungwoon from Hotshot made it too
Every time i watch this it remindes me of producer 48 the cover
Is it just me who always feel happy when someone give a compliment for wanna one?
I like how this guy is constantly rocking out to Energetic.
2:20 "oh this guy's got a really nice rapping voice" totally agree 😍
I feel the exact same way about the chorus. I wish it had more substance only in the chorus the verses are what makes the song for me. I would recommend the whole album "Burn it Up" and "Wanna Be" are my face off the album. The title track was produced by the leader of Pentagon,Hui, they are from Cube entertainment, HyunA, CLC and BTOB are in the same company. He also produced the song Never for Produce 101 season 2 for the 35 boys concept. Love your reactions by the way!!
WANNA ONE is my Life ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Better debut than I.O.I, for sure. "Dream Girls" took me a while to get used to, but it's not the case here. ^^
"feels a bit short" yeah like wanna one's contract
You should check out their other title song once they pop up a music video for it. They had the fans vote between which of the two would be their title track. Id love to hear which one you like better. Also, I love the second rappers voice as well! He's got a really nice deep smooth voice for rapping.

Form of Therapy yup that's the one! I just watched a performance of it and the dance is really striking. I think it makes a bigger impact in performances though I don't know if like The song better.
Yas Wanna One! I watched all of this season of Produce 101 since I came in too late to watch for IOI. I was rooting for Energetic to be the title track and I am so happy with the result (as expected of a song from Hui) I really loved the visuals of the MV and the dance, but I give Burn It Up the better choreo after watching fancams
I love how pd always put jeonghan at the back cs he's my bias too lol.Anyways, the one you said who looks like suli is Guanlin, the maknae from wanna one. He's from Taiwan. #stanwannaone #stanseventeen
You should listen to their mini album
I don't like reaction videos but idk why I am currently binge watching your reactions maybe because there is more commentary on the music rather than the visuals of idols and not making over exaggerated reactions :D

Hui and Flow Bow did such a good job composing this song...
the youngest member this year (2018) is Lai Kuan-lin. he is 17, 18 in Korean age. the oldest member is Yoon Jisung. he is 27, 28 in Korean age. he birthday passed just yesterday, on the 8th of March. the average age of the group is 21.
wish you could mention what other old school songs this bop reminds you of
I agree that it was a solid debut and the song does seem to take elements from older decades. Side note: I watched a Young!Music reaction to this that included a bunch of American teen-agers/young people attending a performance camp. They seemed to like both the song and video.

ALL THE SVT STUFF IN THE BACK IS DISTRACTING ME ESPECIALLY JEONGHANS FACE ❤️
Yo okay so this was such a strong debut and I agree that it has that disco synthpop vibe that's been permeating a lot of pop music lately - which isn't a bad thing! I personally think it's great (I mean look at Carly Rae Jepsen's Emotion A&B albums, Paramore's After Laughter!) They all have synth-heavy tracks. The song felt short for me in that it felt like mostly build up even when it hit the chorus, like it kept going toward something but it didn't really deliver in that aspect, but it was objectively a good song. As for the piano you keep mentioning, it's super great and generally I love this attention being given to keys by a lot of music artists these days. The piano in the intor here though especially sounds a lot like the Breakbot's Baby I'm Yours which is one of my fave songs ever. Also looking forward to rest of their stuff and looking forward to the rest of your stuff too! Glad I subscribed to your channel!!!

Shame Emotion and its B-Side didn't win any awards, it was SEVERELY underrated And her lyricism is SO GOOD at capturing the sticky sweetness of being and falling in love and she does it with so much heart and that 80s level of energy. But man does the melody match the message of her songs like Cut tothe Feeling is SO GOOD. Ugh. Sorry, I didn't mean to start my whole list of Carly Rae praises but she really is amazing sobs.
I like your reaction You know the quality. Please do another video reaction of their MV. The new MV was came out a few hours ago and the title is Burn It Up. I'm sure you'll love it
There are so many parts where Wanna One's Jaehwan sounded like the creator of the song, Pentagon's Hui to me.
Imo, I was really happy with this debut and I was supperrrrrr glad they didn't make a "Dream Boys" xDD and also the guy that you said had a very good rapping voice is Park Woojin and the other rapping dude that you said was familiar is Kang Daniel hehe :DD// Park Woojin is my bias xPP

i hope you can react to another song from wanna one it's called Burn It Up. But we don't know when the music video will be uploaded, the song is up beat song and i'm pretty sure you gonna like it
I'm glad they were able to debut with this song over burn it up!! While this song has a laid back element it still seems to have that perfect mix of energy without being overwhelming. The song does end abruptly, I wish it had a smoother ending because even when you listen to the album it sounds odd. The only songs I liked from the mini album was energetic and wanna be hopefully their next comeback is even better !!!
