Classic early 70's jam. Would love to have seen it live.
Thank you for reacting to this great rocker featuring Robin Trower on guitar when he was a member of the band. That’s their vocalist Gary Brooker singing though. I like others highly recommend “Conquistador “ for your edification.🤘✌️🎸🥁

The thing with the single records is that in the '60s and early '70s many radio stations wouldn't play music that was longer than two and a half to three minutes, that changed eventually. In the U.K. it was Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody that caused that as it was longer and Queen said that they didn't want to cut it down for a single.
You definitely need to do Conquistador by these, great tune!
One of the few songs that feature Robin Trower and makes me think how good this band could have been (Not that they were bad) With Brookers vocals, BJ Wilson's chaotic drumming this band could have been one of the best.
In the early days anything over 3 minutes wouldn't get airplay on Radio.
A great favourite of mine by Procol Harum is " Homberg". And ,thinking about the mid sixties sounds, have you ever heard The Herd, with Pater Frampton, singing From The Underground and Paradise Lost?
Not a huge PH aficionado and this track is pure bollocks to my jaded lugs .. but I would ask for a PH track called Pandoras Box which was a minor hit here in the uk back in the day and I dunno why but it just stuck with me and I love it 👏 👍🏴

Speaking of Orchestras Chris , it’s 7am here in the UK and I was having a coffee watching the main BBC morning news and there was a feature that just blew my mind - Cypress Hill the award winning and hardcore Rap Icons are playing in London tomorrow with the LSO - London Symphonic Orchestra .. 😳🤯!!!!… I just heard a snippet of them rapping to Insane in the brain with the soaring and uplifting LSO giving it large in the background..🤷♂️ Civilisation is coming to an end , The end days are here , time to once again panic buy the toilet rolls … 😅 WTF is going on there ? … even crazier is that it actually sounded great 😮 !!!!!… I gotta go and lie down 😝 👍🏴

@ghichens3418 SC is on the mend. Thanks, Graham. The other day, I bought a derelict Nova kit car. I'm going to use it to let the two young guys who work for me to learn on, without having to worry about getting it wrong.

@ghichens3418 One and the same. I'm going to use a Rover K series engine and running gear from a smashed up MGF to give it a little more poke. I'll also strip out anything else that I can transfer over. The idea is that we strip the car right down and then strip the engine and rebuild it, too. I'll have to have a think about the suspension once I've seen the original setup.

Have not seen a Nova on the road for a long time , there is one outside Hayle that has been there since the 18 th Century ! they are not common that is for sure , sounds like it is going to go like the powers of piss with that under the lid !! So Stripped Down and Sinister is the name of the game !!Go for it Col !!!
