For those curious, they sell them for around 1,000,000 yen, or $7,340.70 US. Expensive, but as you can see in the video a lot of skilled manual labor goes into these. Add in the fact that the wood is 300-700 years old and you get a once in multiple lifetimes board.

It is very calming to listen to the sound of a very sharp chisel and the movement of the hands of a Master Craftsman. I look for tools that have been tossed in a box. Some are hundreds of years old. I bring them back to life. You can know the craftsman by using their tools. I am amazed at how you hold and execute yours! Thanks for sharing! RWB ❤🎉

The correct spelling is knew not new pronounced the same (but two different meanings) I hope this helps. Knew; have knowledge or information concerning: "I would write to him if I knew his address" · New; not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time: "new crop varieties" · "this tendency is not new" · "a fascinating mix of the old and the new"
