Procedural Diamond Pattern in Blender
In this video we are going to learn how to use nodes in Blender to procedurally create a diamond pattern. We will also be converting the result into an image texture that can then be used as a bump map to add details to our models.

Thanks, very instructive video. Why didn't you chose to make it fully procedural (bluring with nodes and direct plug into the bump node ) ?

@@denzelmodeste What I tried : for the bluring, replace Less Than node with Smooth maximum (with the 2nd value field set to 0.350) + ColorRamp (Black index at 0.438 and white index at 0.489) and then plug the output of the last Add node in the height input of the Bump node.

I have tried this in the latest Blender and idk what I did wrong but as far as I can see I duplicated your node setup and I don't get the same result at all. Perhaps you could try remaking it in the latest Blender and see if it still works? Or I can email a photo of my node setup. I really need this to work though if you could help many thanks!

Actually, I tried it again and I realize now what I think I did wrong. Vector Math Scale, not Math Scale lmao. I was like WHAAA?? Why I swear I got it the same...but I was sleepy at the time lmao. Thanks for the help.
