​@@edwinafamefuna4383funny because a lot of workers at AKI simply got jobs at Yukes anyway though lol. And AKI is really a bunch of people who worked on fire pro wrestling originally who split off.

They're trying a Kenny only really said, it'd be cool if they got some people that worked on those games. Dunno how much they can deliever. They might just give us something like DOR on gamecube which had a couple of the designers from the AKI 64 games.

WCW/NWO Revenge was my favorite of all the AKI games, I love it!

Yeah but we have to wait and see cause my experience with E3 this developers talk to much out their mouth and they end up biting more than they can chew for example Avengers game all that crap they spoke what a disaster. And i had big expects with that game.

I bought all these games in the early 2010s at the Berryessa Flea Market in San Jose, CA to add to my pro wrestling video game collection.

Some dude commented about this in the AEW Video Game (somewhat) trailer. I came here to check what the hypes all about with this. 🤔

What's great about Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, it's a great blend of both WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy. In VPW2, you could perform both running punches and running grapples; on the other hand, you couldn't perform a running a grapple until No Mercy, so VPW2 was the most advanced game until No Mercy came out.

Capcom's Saturday Night Slam Masters with the AKI Engine. A create a character mode where you can create most capcom characters as well as characters from classic wrestling games like nes Pro Wrestling and Tecmo World Wrestling.

I’m working on a game that I built an engine for that is heavily modeled after the Def Jam era AKI engine. However this game will be a 3-D brawler. It WILL have one on one fights, multi player fights, battle royales, and arena modes.

I wish you talked more about the Def Jam games. The moves were exaggerated, but that just added to the ridiculousness and fun factor of those games. They’re such fun to play, especially with friends. I can’t believe how badly EA fucked that series up with “Icon” that steaming pile of excrement. You buy the AKI engine for TWO games? This type of shit is why everyone hates EA.

Fantastic video. Could use some more Dean Malenko, too. Cory Ledesma is thanked in the No Mercy credits btw. I think he might be cooking up some stuff with THQ Nortic or AEW. May not though. He could've been seeing about a job or connect connecting them with some contacts or vice versa.

Hence him saying it’s hard to master playing. A guy who’s a technical wrestler with tons of moves? Now that’s something.

I'm certain the Jacknife powerbomb Nash did in Revenge was modelled on the way Disco Inferno sold it in WcW, I don't know if that's true but from what I've seen it looks almost identical.

The thing I liked and still like about the aki series wrestling games it just didn't feel like a wrestling game it also felt like a fighting game due to the multiple MMA moves it's so crisp my favorite two out the series is vpw2 and no mercy easy to learn the difficulty is just right I play on expert mode

Def Jam using AKI ? wow.. despite playing both def jam especially Fight For NY for years, i still can't get use to No Mercy, maybe because different pacing

WCW vs NWO Revenge & Wrestlemania 2000 came out around the same time as WWF Warzone & Attitude. The gap in quality was hilarious, sucked for us PS1 only owners though haha

AKI never bacame Asmik Ace. Asmik became Asmik Ace after the N64 era. Asmik published some AKI games and that's it. Your research is wrong and you missed the Kinnukuman games based on the anime that became their last pro wrestling games developed in house. And the present AKI gave up doing wrestling games for home consoles more than a decade ago. Mainly they develop now only games for children (girls are the main) under the developer name Syn Sophia.
