PRO-WRESTLING BURNOUT

Спорт

I've always been pretty open about how I'm feeling on social media. I've been a creator for a few years, but really buckled down nearly two years ago to grow to where we are. It's not a secret to those who know that I've been struggling, and behind the scenes, I've been actively trying to better myself and move forward. I'm really excited about the direction I am headed and where my content is headed as well. Listen to me rant about life as a creator and how we can get wrapped up in our own worlds and heads - and how the opinions of others can sway how we feel.
I will be gone from 6/27-6/30 but will be semi-active on Twitter and Instagram while I'm gone! I might get a few more things out but we will see!

It’s so refreshing to see someone being so open and honest. I only discovered your channel around I wanna say Punk’s return(?), but it’s the honesty and the authenticity that made me stick around. Burnout is no joke. The day job Vs passion balance is such a tough one to navigate. You gotta do what’s best for you, and whatever that is, I’m sure it’ll be awesome.

Burn out is real. But when it’s something you love, you’ll always find a way to push thru. I’ve been playing, performing and teaching drums. I’ve had those times when the last thing I wanted to see on a day was a drum set. But when you love it you always come back to it. You can’t be 24/7 content creating and the time off you take helps make the burn out short and brief. Heck, some of the best stuff comes when you step back for a day or a week and the come back fresh eyed. Never blame yourself for if you think you’re not doing enough or you’re not feeling less of yourself than others doing the same thing. You do you and you’ll never fail. Do what you know you can do and know when you have to step back for a mental timeout so you can come back when ready. Of course, the risks you want to make can be scary and you can fail. But you’re the kind of person who’ll get up, dust yourself off and get back on that horse so to speak. TLDR: You’ve got this, doubt is the mind killer. Know that you have come far and have so much ahead of you. But always put your life and health first. You got this kid and we in the “Blondeline” are right there with and for you.

It's a scary feeling when something you love becomes somewhat of a chore. Really important to just step back. It took me a long time to be comfortable taking weeks off etc. You're killing it dude. People connect with you because you're so honest and they will understand if you scale back. Sometimes less is more.

100% support this. If for whatever reason this goes away, you still have a real life to maintain and enjoy, so absolutely it’s the right thing to do. To anyone who criticises or comes with ‘suggestions’ start you own channel and see how it works out for you.

Burning out is definitely real in every industry. Don’t feel bad taking care of yourself first! We come to your streams to get away from our own problems, so it’s important for you to have your own escape as well! Thank you for being open and vulnerable, it’s rare in the IWC. And thank you for your commitment, but take care of yourself!

Firstly, thank you for this video and sharing your experience. I just started on my own content creation journey a couple of months ago (inspired by you and several others creators in the wrestling community)... amidst severe depression and my own career woes. Everything you've said in this video is FACTS. This is hard as hell; I'm not even as busy as you or some of the other big content creators, and I'm already kind of burned out, especially from having to deal with those entitled people who think that your sole purpose in life is to create content solely for THEM, exactly how they want it. However, I'm trying to keep going because I love what I do, even if others don't. I needed this video for sure, and I'm glad you made it. Thanks Wheezy, keep crushing it! 💪🏿💪🏿

Hi Wheezy - first time commenter, solid-time watcher. You are such a bright light and incredible pillar of wrestling content creation, and I'm so so so sorry for all of the stress it has put upon you. Speaking as a fellow someone with anxiety, and who experienced burnout in his own right for years, I'm so proud of you for recognizing and calling attention to it now. In my own life, it was one of the many contributing factors that led to a full on breakdown about two years ago and led me to therapy, meds, and a long road back. Self-care, your life, and what you put out into the world on YOUR terms is what matters most. Period. You are a creator but you are human - you are far from a content machine. I can't speak for anyone else, but whatever happens I'll be here supporting because of who you are.

I didn't know who you were until I saw a compilation by TheGeekBox of people reacting to Randy Orton's return at Survivor Series but since then I've seen quite a few of the compilations he's put together and honestly you are one of the reactions I enjoy watching the most in any of them. I haven't actually checked out your channel yet I'm not sure why but I get being burnt out especially when you still have a full time job on top of this. I can't speak for everyone but I'm sure most people will understand and look forward to watching you regardless of the content whenever you decide to put more out. I'm subscribing now before I get distracted again lol

It doesn't not sound easy _at all._ You (and the other content creators from tiny channels to major productions) have my utmost respect and admiration. Same with all the indie and pro wrestlers who have worked and sacrificed so much. Just remember, Wheezy, Becky Lynch got burnt out big time and still went on to main event Wrestlemania so even the greatest can relate.

Let me tell you something, I feel this so much I’ve been doing wrestling content for 3 years off and on and let me tell ya that burnout is real. The constant grind of recording content has made me delete my content and start over again and again and I had 54k views at one point but bullying and not feeling good enough at times made me delete my videos. I actually want to get away from wrestling content because it’s just so miserable at times. Thank you for sharing you just helped me make a decision for my channel.

Thank you for doing what is best for you. Thank you for taking time for yourself. Thank you for all that you give to us. I truly enjoy your content. As a lifelong wrestling fan (I am 49), I can see and love the passion that you exude in your livestreams. Every rueful grin and happy exultation when something happens on the latest broadcast shows how much you love wrestling. You do an amazing job in every live reaction and every social media post to show that love and passion for "sports entertainment". I also appreciate the fact that, like this video, you speak up for yourself and you let us know where your head is. My apologies to you for those that treat you poorly or those whose comments add to your burnout or negatively impact your mental heath. I know the interwebs are a hard place to be true to who you are. So many voices from the dark seeking to tear you down. But not one of those Comment Cowards would last a day in the spotlight you do so well in. I just wish there was a way to shut their jealous yapping. I am very glad that you are and will be taking time for yourself. I hope that you do that as often as you need to. I also hope that the possible opportunities you mentioned do come to fruition for you, as you deserve them. I also look forward to seeing the new setup, and I hope the new schedule works well for you. But, please, do what is best for you and yours. Those that truly appreciate and care for you will always understand. And, again, please take a break as often as you need to. Those who truly support you will be here for you when/if you need us.

I think most creators online hide their struggles because they're afraid of looking weak. Especially men. That's why you'll always hear "you can't trust everything you see and hear online". Most content creators are like actors, they play a character, we're not seeing the real them. That's what separates you, you're genuine. 😊
