Patience, persistence, professionalism. Those qualities are very necessary not only in wrestling, but also in any field where you want to succeed.

I always admired how much the life of a wrestler mirrored that of the life of a touring musician. And I'm talking about indie/smaller promotion wrestling and the same tier of touring bands. Pay for your own travel, no health care, very little food money, live off of selling merch. What you are explaining in this video can be applied to becoming a successful touring act in any profession. Solid advice.

Same with a professional Hollywood actor. Or anything. Great advice.

GREAT video/episode with a wealth of insight. I am someone who has been a lifelong fan of pro wrestling - who just recently felt inspired/motivated enough to want to enter into a local pro-wresting promotion/training program . . . at 45 y/o (albeit feeling myself in the best shape I've ever been in). At this point in my life, however, I consider myself what Justin referred to as a "weekend warrior" who doesn't really have any realistic aspirations of "making it big" in pro-wrestling - and that's 100% fine by me. It's something I've always thought about doing - and there is now an opportunity for me to, at the very least, TRY. So I am finding these "Wrestling 101" videos to be incredibly educational, inspirational and motivational - and I THANK JUSTIN (and all who contribute to the episodes) for this !!!

To be honest I wouldn't go to pro wrestling without getting paid to much, I would just be happy that I got to be living my dream.

Justin, you were THE MAN to me when I was watching ECW in high school. You defined ECW for me, I was a late comer but stuck around until the end and fortunately got to see you perform at the final November to Remember, and also at a TNN taping. The Odeum in Villa Park, Illinois. Just want to say thanks for all the bumps you took and for giving it your all every night. You wore that title well, and it was well deserved. These videos are really cool of you to make as well. Looks like you still are the man! Cheers.

I'm starting up my own online production and publishing company. And well, it's very hard and frustrating to make it a full-time business. Point is, it takes a lot of hard work, shameless self-promoting, and sacrifice to make it.

Off-topic question. What are the odds of someone who's short, like 5'1 to be a wrestler? I mean, what role for someone who is as short as me to play even in the indie circuit?

I think of it this way man. You may think you're too short to make it big, but not every huge 7 foot guy makes it either. It's all about how hard you work
