You can just group the original audio and your sample destination track ... and then u can just Tab and V the sample super quick ... The sample doesn't overlay on to the original - it just pastes onto the sample destination track.. This cuts out P & : Move ;-)

Thanks for the keyboard shortcuts. Much quicker than what I was doing with the mouse. A little bit off topic but what I've had to learn about live drum recording is most of the time I have to use samples to get a great drum sound! I guess that would be different if I had a great live room for recording. My room is small and I struggle to get a decent sound. Your drums always sound great!! Thanks again for all of the great tutorials!

9:55 ; my exact problem. I have pt12- drumagog 5. i bus d5 to an aux track so I can preserve the original transient because most of the time, despite having delay compensation, the gog sample is sometimes out of alignment. so since this is video describes this technique as being more accurate with live tracks, is this still the best technique for me if I want to have some dynamic samples picked from drumagog 5 instead of using just one sample?

Why do you use a stereo file for your kick as opposed to a mono file?
