Thank you so much, this is saving my Mixing Exam in 5 Days. Just heard about adding Drum Samples to Live Drums with Plug Ins ( like Trigger / Kontakt ) but it was to complicated for me to get rid of it in 5 Days and this is a great way to do it too & I get it immediately. Thank You !

Hey Isha great tutorial! one question anyways, when I tab to transient it goes to the next transient of the live kick and not to the next clip separation done by the beat detective, so it makes the tab and V process much slower that you are doing it. How can I fix this?? Thankss!!

This is great, thank you! My one question is is there a quicker way to adjust the velocity/volume of the samples, rather than manually adjusting each track (ie 1/8th note kicks, gradually building, or ghost notes before an accent)?

yes, I would load the dry tracks into melodyne export a midi file, and then trigger that midi file to play samples and then they have the velocities.

I cant go to specifically transient precisely because when i hit tab button on my keyboard the multi window are popping on my screen instead of cursor move to transieny. but when i see your video, your tab button just do it nicely. Sounds like an operating system keyboard shortcut you need to disable in the settings.

Where did you get your samples? They sounded really good.

Hey, I'm kinda new to this and not sure if I'm missing something in your video but when I'm pressing v to paste the sample it's also pasting over the top of the original drum track. Just wondering if you know what I might be doing wrong?

I have had that issue before, you just have to make sure your selection is correct when you press Shift and P to go up to the track above.

what are the samples? are they stereo? Mono ? is the sample just one hit ? What is sample rate ?

Mac Command = Control on a PC Mac Control = Windows key on PC Mac Option = Alt on PC

When ever I type "Shift P" it does absolutely nothing, what am i doing wrong?

if P and ; are Not moving up or down, you need to click the A-z focus keys button in the edit window.

Cant you just push P without the Shift?

You can use P to go up, but thE shift keeps the lower track selected so you can tab to that and paste on the track above.

aah got it. it works when 3 tracks are selected: midi, the duplicated separated one and the original. Thanks for the tip! saves time
