Thank you, sir. Appreciate your time explaining this.
Can I run my sub woofer OUT on my receiver to the RCA input on this woofer. Is there another woofer, at or even slightly higher price?
All I want to know is how I can increase the Volume on this ProSub. Does it have it's own Control lever? Or is the Volume controlled through the Mixer?

pretty sure there is a dial on the side of the box that allows you to adjust the volume on the sub
I used Amply Denon PMA 800NE. It doesn't have ports such as Pre out; LEF; Line out and Sub out to connect with subwoofer. However, I found Prosub 800 by Definitive Technology got ports of High Level. Please advise me whether these ports can connect with my amply or not? If available to connect with Amply from Prosub, are there parasitic noise such as treble sound, bass sound, singer's voices... when turn on?

to the speaker out of the amp.
Hi, I am having issue with my prosub 800, i been using it for last 4-5 years with no problems but recently after i relocated my residence, after new set up it gets turn off by itself while full system is running. ( I use Onkyo TX-NR626 receiver with 5.1 Bose speakers system) any clues why this happening beside fuse?

Change the subwoofer cable could be weak signal going to the sub and hence causing it to sleep. Have you tried keeping it always on and not on Auto? If yes then you need to get it serviced.
These size subs 1 sub is a good start. As soon as u add a second of the same type you will ever wonder how u lived with just one sub
I just want to know how to set it up if my amp doesn't have a Sub out Port.

You run wires from the amp into the sub. Then wires out of the sub and into the speakers. The sub will play freq below the set point on the knob. The speakers will always play above 80hz..

@@MrZattack101 when turn on sub, do you heard treble sounds, singer' voices ... from sub?
My Sub800 won't output sound until the receiver volume is turned up extremely high. When the sound engages, the sub will produce a loud cracking noise. But the sub performs fine after that. I'm powering the sub via a high level connection with two ProMonitor 800s. I have tried different levels on the Variable Low Pass Crossover dial but nothing changes. This problem has persisted with two separate AVRs. My current AVR is an Onkyo TX-nr686. I'm a bit of an audio novice, btw. Any suggestions?

@@joshuasterling2144 No, but I found a work-around...if I turn up the volume dial, on the side of the sub, it engages right away.
How do properly wire it to Amplifier
How can you plug this into your phone?

Thanks a Lot Sumit Sha :)
Specs say down to 20Hz
This is more of an overview than a review.
These subs sound like actual hot garbage. I have TWO prosub 1000's and my little 7 inch logitech subs are just as loud as them. They also don't hit the low frequency's like it says on the box or whatever they bottom out whenever low bass comes on. If you want a good cheap sub buy polk audio psw 505, seriously i wish i never got rid of them.

Honestly, I wonder if these Definitive Technology Prosubs require a break-in period. I bought a Prosub 800 for my daughter's system. It's hooked up to a 60w integrated amp that has a digital piano, a turntable, and a Bluetooth dongle connected to it. The speakers are Polk Audio RTi A1's, crossed with the sub at 80hz. The lowest frequency note of an 88 key grand piano is 27.5hz. As soon as we first got everything connected and set up, we tried playing that lowest note on the keyboard (Yamaha MX88) and got practically nothing. I was pretty disappointed, because that sub was supposed to be just 3db down right around that point. I had been hoping that that sub would help reproduce the sound of a true grand piano. Given that the size of the sub itself was perfect for her room and I didn't want to do any more messing with it, I decided to make do for the time being and maybe tackle it at a later point. That was easy to justify at the time, because she was just starting out and her practicing never really took her playing down that far in the frequency range. I knew I'd eventually get to it though, because that keyboard is also a fairly powerful synth and I wanted her to be able to use all of it if she wanted to. Recently, I turned my attention back to it and asked her if she remembered that when we first set it all up, we couldn't get any sound out of those low notes. She said she didn't remember that, but they sound fine now and, if anything, are a bit too loud. I assume that I initially dialed the sub up, because it might've seemed a bit weak at first, but I'm not sure. Sounds like I might have to tweak it with an SPL meter to get it dialed in now.
